I have never liked the scheduling at this stage of the tournament but not sure what can be done.

You shouldn't have 2 women playing a semi little more than 24 hours after their quarter final.

Yes they are on almost equal rest, but if either had played a 3 hour match, I'd say that player would be a dog going into their semi.

I guess the thinking is it's fairer to give all players equal (2 days) rest for the final.

They could put the 2nd womens semi as the first night match on the thursday night to allow for more rest.

very early in her career, but just looking to see where Naomi Osaka can get to:

3 Slams - Kerber, Capriati, Davenport, Wade
4 Slams - Clijsters, Sánchez Vicario, Mandlíková
5 Slams - Sharapova, Hingis
6 Slams - no one

You could do it how Wimbledon does it and alternate the second week (men one day, women the next). Tbh I don't think it's that bad- you can't play the semi on Friday because then the break is unfair. So what are your other options?

Hingis was such a big name to only win 5 slams even if she did retire early.
She lost 7 finals. Should not have retired the first time and should have gotten serious with physical fitness training early. Would have achieved more singles success at slams had she done that. Still easily one of my favourite players to watch. Hingis on a doubles court is genuine tennis magic.

They used to do that up to the early 2000's before they started the men's night Semi's. All women's 4th round matches were played Sunday, Quarters Tuesday, Semi's Thursday.

They will be fine. they are used to playing day after day.

Bo3 allows them to be flexible.

If Naomi Osaka goes all the way, she will have won back-to-back Slams, so I thought I'd check who had done that recently:

VWilliams - 2000 TCW to 2000 US
Capriati - 2001 AU to 2001 FR
VWilliams - 2001 TCW to 2001 US
SWilliams - 2002 FR to 2003 AU
Henin - 2003 US to 2004 AU
SWilliams - 2008 US to 2009 AU
Clijsters - 2010 US to 2011 AU
SWilliams - 2012 TCW to 2012 US
SWilliams - 2014 US to 2015 TCW

I always forget Serena hasnt managed to do a calendar year grand slam.

It won’t happen,

But if Tsitsipas defeats Nadal,

That’s Federer and Nadal as scalps...at 20.

And onto Djokovic, who he beat last year and has never lost too.

Oddly enough the torch is passed from one Greek to a Swiss and back,

To another Greek?
Nadal will smoke him in 3.

As well as Tsitsipas has played I don't see him beating Nadal, Nadal is in scintillating form at the moment and I feel Novak is the only one capable of beating him.

What time does the women's semi final begin today?

Fans are demanding are a refund after kei retired yesterday. I don't think you can get a refund.
Not a chance. Sorry guys, its tennis. These things happen. You pay for the session and not the players. There is always the risk this happens. I feel sorry for the people last year who paid even more for the semi and only got an hour of Fed v Chung.

I think the actual clause is that if you get 1 hour of play in, then no refunds. Kei and Novak played over an hour themselves. That doesn't count the 2 hour long doubles afterwards.
