Mens Singles Semi
(4) D. Medvedev - (5) S. Tsitsipas
Medvedev has not lost since October, has 19 straight wins and is 11-0 against top 10 players since the US Open. That is quite something. The new world number 3 is on a run of form. he loves to wear down his opponents and he toyed with poor Rublev in the quarters in the heat. He was suffering as well but will recover a lot better than Tsitsipas, who played late against Nadal in a classic. Tsitsipas played out of his skin in sets 4-5 against Nadal, hitting him off the court. He serve was mighty impressive, serving 78% in the critical last set. Tsitsipas has his work cut out, with a 1-5 H2H and aginst the form player on the tour. Should be fun between 2 nextgen players who have impressed in grand slams in the last 2 years. Also hoping the Greeks come out in force.
