It was how he composed himself and won the game which gave it away. Plus, how he easily took the first break from Cilic. Roger is one of the best in the game and this game was a highly likely win for him.

Trying to ignore the context of the game, to insert your Federer is GOAT (which I don't disagree with), is as reductive of an argument as they come.

We are not worthy. To have lived through this era of the greatest tennis player of all time.

We will talk about Roger in 50 years and be greatful that we witnessed this. I feel privileged to have spent the past 15 years watching him.
You've said it perfectly.

It's a privilege. I also think watching arguably three of the greatest players in the Open era is something we will cherish for decades.
