Hope for Genie but realistically...

Serena in 2 (1 close 1, on flogging)
Raonic in 3 or 4
Djokovic in 3
Zverev in 3
Thiem in 5 (zero confidence on Thiem in Australia)
Cornet in 2 (upset)

Very excited to watch Serena for the first time this year. From what I've heard, her serve is looking almost entirely neutralised save for a few vintage moments, and despite her massive achievements in 2018, she never looked close to her best, so I'm not sure she'll win another Slam. But what a pleasure it will be to see my favourite non-Australian athlete back on RLA!

Serena has a pretty good draw really. Not a powerful player in sight in her quarter. Hoping she gets beat but I reckon I have a better chance of winning powerball than Bouchard being the one to do it.

Going to watch the players I watched on Tuesday. It is unpleasant weather.

I Should be there by now but broken taps, faulty Myki's later, I might miss the start of Mertens match. .....

So giogri, slow down please

Giorgi is one of my faves :hearts:

Nishikori playing so well at the moment, making Karlovic work harder on his service games. Just has to keep it up.

Her opponent is talented but out of juice I reckon. Had to take a medical timeout last match.

Still, no one will want to face Giorgi.

Disagree, Wawrinka's momentum was patchy enough without an early retirement in his first match - during which he was a set down to Gulbis. Raonic's form suggests he'll cruise.
Probably, although who knows in a tie breaker here and there.

It would surprise me more if Novak dropped a set to Tsonga.
