Ruud is hardly the drawcard that Nadal is, but looks like he could be catching an early flight home too..

The biggest threat for Joker is that he won't have any decent matches until the final, where he might face a match-ready Stefo, Medvedev, FAA, Sinner etc etc.

The draw is very lopsided.

I’d rather him face Ruud anyway

Fourteen Americans are playing singles in Men and Women today - So far three have been eliminated - Rogers, Townsend and Davis while three have made it through - Wolf, Paul and Volynets.

Another four are still on court. Fritz (will win easily), brooksby (two sets to love up), Shelton (two sets to love up) and Kudla has just started.

This is before we even go to the other side of women's draw where we have Pegula, Guaff and (for one more match anyway) Collins.

Must have a very good tennis program America,Tennis Australia needs to take notes.

We love to pump up the Australian Open but hardly have any quality resperesenting besides Nick

Time for Tennis Australia to get cracking
It's not just that - how long has it been since we've had a decent Australian representative (apart from Ash) who genuinely looks like winning multiple slams. This is why Barty retiring was such a disaster for our country, she was literally keeping tennis australia afloat. Most of the Aussies are either too old (millman, Kubler, etc) or too angry (Kgyrios, Kokk) or don't have all the skills they need to really challenge (Pop and Demon).
