That was the most emotional I have seen Nick after a win in years. It meant a lot to him. First RLA win and over his childhood idol.

Just saw this very interesting stat on twitter regarding Nadal.
th Diego Schwartzman next, Nadal will have played 15 straight matches in Grand Slams against players not ranked in the top 25

Wonderful insights from Basil.

That useless twat is gonna cost me a TV screen before this tournament is out. Lost count of the number of matches he has ruined the telecast of. Surely he has goat photos of someone high up in 7. No other explanation for him continuing to blight the airwaves. He is infuriating. STFU Basil. STFU. Then go to the Richie Benaud school of commentary where you may learn to let the pictures do the talking

Kontaveit, in the end, was just a bit more consistent in all areas.

That's one way of putting it.

It was a real rollercoaster of a match (featuring a number of amazing points, including both great defensive play and beautiful, clean winners, yet interspersed with a stream of truly horrible errors). And the serving was pure poo from both ends of the court.

But Bas is the king of important stats. How else would we know where the players' mum's were living in 2012 and how many pets they had? Or how many aces were hit in the second round of the Australian Open in 2009 by left handed players at Rod Laver Arena between 3 and 7pm?

I don't know how many times he needs to tell us about Nick's childhood idol

Wozniacki telling the chair umpire he has made so many bad calls today. Unprofessional.

I am more shocked that Stubbs is so fricking stupid, that couldn't tell the out was call after the shot was played.

I've had to mute it

Yeah not exactly sure why she has a vendetta against this ump. Criticising him at every available opportunity.

I thought tonight's matches were boring. I watched something else. I'm not into Nick so couldn't be bothered with his match. Still want Kerber to win. Ditto on Sharpie leaving. Wouldn't mind Halep winning even Barty.
