All coaching is legal this year. You cant give them too much info(etc, a min chat at the change of ends), just the basics.

US last year was when it was changed. Not sure if FO/Wimbledon will allow it or not, but think there has been a push by the slams to formalise the rules between them, so quite possibly.

I think this is where tennis needs to do better.

Think you should tell Azarenka - Zhu that you will start playing at 11pm. If this match doesn't end by 10:45, that will be on MCA. I dont think the people on RLA will be sad about that and though the players might be disappointed, they will also get to bed before 4 am.

Don’t agree. I know what you are saying but tickets have increased massively this year and you pay for 2 matches not 1.

Not sure about Wimbledon but French will follow suit I don’t mind it anyway.

I doubt most fans would be happy with this unless it came with a discount on the ticket, which obviously wouldn't happen.

Another issue I foresee is that this would result in the women's match getting turfed waaaaaaay more often than the men's. The latter is often the hold up; that starts late way less often.

I think it's allowed this year

Its something like when your player is on the opposite side hand signals are fine, when they’re on your side comments are fine. If the opponent goes on toilet break then a chat is allowed.

At least thats what a coach at the tournament told me when l noticed it in a match.
