Make no mistake about it people, Nadal is playing some incredible tennis. He’s absolutely on fire and to be honest given his QF and SF opponents, he’ll make the final and I can’t see Federer beating him. I’m behind Rafa all the way and he’s playing well enough to take this title. You can see how dedicated he is, and despite the fact he always looks hungry I haven’t seen him like this before. He really, REALLY wants this Slam.

He was irresistible tonight and it’s a shame it only lasted one and a half sets.

Nadal will walk to the final. Which tired and wounded warrior will meet him?

Djokovic? Should pump Hewitt and be Fed's biggest challenge for a long time.

Is anyone else's body clock stuffed after staying up last night? I'm wandering around the house at 2.15 in the morning feeling like its the early evening...weird :o

As much as I think women's tennis is a joke, I gave Venus Williams and Sania Mirza (nice rack) the benefit of the doubt. It's not their fault Fed took 5 sets and the schedule was out by 2 hours. However, after reading this:

Australian Open officials feel heat on program

THE Australian Open - dubbed the Happy Slam because of its popularity with players - was reduced to a political war zone on Saturday night when Venus Williams and Sania Mirza clashed with officials over match scheduling.

A session, which ended with the latest finish in grand slam history at 4.34am, was preceded by Williams's and Indian Sania Mirza's refusal to move from Rod Laver Arena to Vodafone Arena.

It is understood Williams warned Melbourne Park decision-makers of the potential for such a move to be interpreted along racial lines if the women were forced off centre court.

WTF????????

That is seriously ****ed.Whats so racial about that?? some people are really insecure

Sunil Gavaskar must manage one or both of them.

Barbara Schett was saying on the radio last night that Mirza didn't really care where the game was played, but that's the only time I've heard that. Not sure how Schett knows this or if it's been said or even speculated in other circles.

I must admit, my initial reaction was that Venus was probably doing all the bossing around with Mirza unfussed by it, but I'm still not ready to draw conclusions. Mirza has said a couple of diplomatic comments on the issue, but that could just as easily be to keep the peace with Williams.

anyone watching the ladies match at the moment

did i hear right with the commentators saying that one of the players coach cant watch because both players playing are sponsored by adidas

Close, Addidas have a coach or rep that does a bit of coaching for all there players that wear there clothes, and he doesnt watch the game on court if its Addidas vs Addidas, probly due to conflict of interest of one player vs another.

Hilarious.

"Kids, stay in school or you'll end up as an umpire"

"Do you have ears? Connected to your head?"

"Would you like me to send you a fax or an email?"

:D :D

yeah i missed the match but saw the highlights of him going nuts

while it was pretty hilarious, roddick is an absolute **** head

the umpire did not deserve to be spoken to like that

I reckon A-Rod's great. I hate the robots that you usually see in sport these days. Give me a guy like A-Rod over Brett Kirk any day.
