Ashton Agar 154 at 41.28
Mitchell Swepson 153 at 33.76
Adam Zampa 105 at 48.26
Matthew Kuhnenmann 29 at 30.72

Sangha & Holland?!

The kiwis have a test series against South Africa at home. So they will be sending a B similar to ours.

So would I be correct in saying that when NZ tour Australia early February all the Australian players will still be in Australia and most likely the squad would ber heading to Pakistan mid to late Feb.Perhaps the selectors might suggest to the current test squad to rest up or even play some shield cricket.Eg.Warner,Smith,M.Marsh and even Maxwell but not sure about NZ and Australia fielding B grade sides.

Agar: 9 at 45.55

Without looking at Sheffield shield stats is there a reason agar's name always comes up for tours?!
He's in "the system". Regular member of Australian teams/squads. He's a known quantity, and is always doing well enough at domestic level to be in the conversation.

Overall & recent form is pretty poor actually
Player of the match in his most recent ODI and probably our best player in his last T20I.

They know what he can do at international level so doesn't have to shoot the lights out at domestic level, just do "enough".

An example - his batting in the shield last year wasn't great, but that one century makes selectors, who already like him, get all giddy about his batting. That's what I'm talking about.

Interesting article on recent tests in Pakistan suggesting pacers take more wickets than spinners there. Possibly inflated due to touring teams that have more test quality pacers than spinners.

Who are our best reverse swingers?

Should be a fascinating and very competitive series.

Zampa is close to best player on that list. Aussies will play two leg spinners before they rest him

Warner
Khawaja
Labuschagne
Smith
Head
Green
Carey
Starc
Cummins
Boland
Lyon

Renshaw
Maddinson
Inglis
Hazelwood
Richardson
Swepson
Maxwell

This should be a really good series, Pakistan are a decent side, pitches should cater to the fast bowlers rather than the spinners. Just hope this tour actually goes ahead, apparently Khawaja was telling the side how important it would be for Pakistan if they did tour, so true, looking forward to it.

Warner
Khawaja
Labuschagne

Starc

Lyon
Hazlewood

Reserves (COVID/Concussion Subs)
Will Pucovski (Warner, Khawaja, Labuschagne, Smith, Head)
Mitch Marsh (Green)
Josh Inglis (Carey)
Scott Boland (Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood)
Jhye Richardson (Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood)
Mitch Swepson (Lyon)
Ashton Agar (Lyon)

Happy to play 2 spinners, with Swepson as the second spinner at the expense of Hazlewood or Starc, hence the inclusion of Agar as additional cover. Happy if we take a few extras as well such as Renshaw or Maddinson, but feel the players I've listed above should be first in line as replacements.
