Would love nothing more than to see Kubler have success in AO.

He has a great game and seems a great bloke - at the United Cup he was by far the most enthusiastic cheering from the team boxes to support the other Aussies.

That tournament win in Adelaide was the perfect preparation for Nole ahead of the AO, wasn't at his best but did what was required and upped the level when needed.

When was the last time you had seen a men's player standing this far inside the baseline to receive a serve?

Kenin looked alright today in Hobart. Her opponent wasn't much though.

I was impressed with Blinkova in the match after. Smokey for the tournament win down here.

Kokk repeating his Adelaide heroics.

Good win, played well.

Probably not helping his chances for next week but in his case it feels like he just needs to play games and earn points. Plays again tomorrow night first.up.

Weird schedule today. Kubler on a tiny back court and womens doubles at the same time on the show court.

Ruud out of Auckland. Second round but had a first round bye.

Ellis and Harris close to an upset in the men's doubles against Farah and Cabal.
