So after bringing back the Tri-Sereis (ODIs) for one year, and it being a great success, they can it this year?

Any reason other than scheduling difficulties?

I see Canberra get an ODI - is this the first time since the World Cup in 1992? Also no Australia day cricket at the Adelaide Oval this time.

The only reason it was bought back was because India were playing and the neutral matches still made them money because of the Television rights.

The Canberra game is due to the ACT Centenary in 2013. There was talk at one point of two games of a Chappell-Hadlee series. The ACT government had asked for a Test. There was an India v Sri Lanka game maybe three years ago. This will be the first time an Australian mens team has played in Canberra in a full international.

Kyptastic is probably right on the one-off tri-series.
Why have the West Indies series? This is exactly the sort of thing that shoiuld be banned as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to see a ban on limited overs only tours between Test nations except World Cup and T20 World Champs.

I'm a little disappointed that the Tests finish at Sydney. I liked it last year when they ran through January.

I was hoping that Sri Lanka's Hobart test might, at least, been mid-January rather than mid-December.

no doubt that WACA test will be interesting. yeah the Saffers have guns but our pace attack is the only part of our line-up we can at least have any confidence in.

was talking about it with a mate in the pub, and it's a pretty depressing thought, with 2 ashes series coming up within 18 months, both of which we'll be underdogs for (18 months is a long time so maybe things will turn around for the home series, but 2013 is gonna be a tough ask), by the time the 2017 ashes series rolls around in england, it could very well be only one raise of the little urn in the previous 14 years for us :(

After seeing the offended the Saffas have dealt to the England line up, and given the Saffas ability to play on bouncy pitches, could be a very one sided series

If we were into giving ourselves the best possible chance to win a series, South Africa would be in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney; and Sri Lanka Perth, Brisbane, Hobart

Why arent we playing the Saffas in any one dayers or T20's? Ridiculous!
They have their own home season, including a T20 on Boxing Day. They have said they will not play Boxing Day and New Year in Australia any more, unless we agree to play those dates in South Africa when its their turn to host. Which I think is fair enough, or was until they decided to go the clown cricket route for Boxing Day.
As a result of their home series, their tour of Australia has to finish early.
