Mark and Loz basically doing Caleb’s pitch for him doesn’t sit overly well with me. The jury’s there to pick a winner, not influence the actual result.

Caleb played the better game but it’s on him to articulate it, not the jury.

We have had players champion a finalist at final tribal pretty much every season since Survivor began

Yeah, in hindsight, to be fair, Jackson did very well considering that he was up against three people, Caleb, Lauren and Mark. I seriously think Caleb should have faught his own battle and lived and died by his inability to articulate well.

Not to that extent I don’t think. Caleb may as well have just sent Mark and Loz in as his proxy. It probably wouldn’t have mattered as I would say most of them had decided who they would vote for before the tribal.

Stoked to see Caleb win, I was barracking for him from a long way out but I never thought he would win or even get that close.

His pitch wasn't great but he did an OK job of talking up his game and showed why he's a more deserving winner than Jackson.

Mark and Loz helped him out with their questions but it was telling that they still voted for Caleb despite him taking them out.

Right outcome. The way the votes shook out suggests it was pretty locked going in.

Good season, it’s refreshing when Survivor is stripped to its basics. My only main issue is the over emphasis of a “resume” that’s leading people to making moves that don’t really make sense.

There should be room for people to play strong social games, develop relationships with everyone, without having to cut off their closest ally solely because it’ll be seen as a “move”.

I agree with the sentiment in regard to the "resume" thing but the good thing is that it makes the show a better watch when they are all trying to blindside each other.

I actually think it was one of the more underwhelming final tribals I can remember seeing. Not sure either player did a great job articulating their game, maybe Jacksons wasn't that strong to start with either and the ability to cut a promo can only carry you so far, especially when i reckon most know who they are voting for before they show up anyway.

Enjoyable season though, as much as i loved JLP, we didn't miss him... David got better as he went, and i can't remember as many chaos tribals as that where i had no idea who was going home or how it might land beforehand.

It is a shame they insist on running it against MAFS each year, as the show probably doesn't get the audience it deserves because of it and it is absolute quality

Really good series! I only just got back into Survivor after about 20 years. Decided to watch Survivor 50 and got hooked so gave this a go. Was my first time watching the Australian one and I enjoyed it more than the other. I was going for Keeley but was happy Caleb won.

Finally caught up.
Was very happy for Caleb to win it.
Love the return of the 'Live' reunion show to read the votes.
If I never see greasy Mark on my TV ever again I will be very very happy.

I hope overseas viewers enjoy our version of the show, it is Flemington straight better than the US version (which I have all but given up on about 7 seasons ago).

Dave really grew into the hosting role as well so props to him.

Also happy for the new destination to film as well which will hopefully freshen up the show as well.

Oh yeah if they go the returnee route as well from this season I would really only go Caleb & Keely, who halfway through was no chance to win in my eyes but her 2 immunity challenge wins certainly changed my mind on her (she is also a dead ringer for a work colleague lol, and when I pointed it out to a work mate and fellow show watcher he said 'Once you see it you can't unsee it lol')
maybeeee Jackson but prob not.

I tried to get a couple of mates onto it over here. Was telling them how the Americans are so whiny in comparison. I notice when Aussies get blindsided they're just like "Ah, mate, you got me. Good luck. Hope you win it. Here's my blanket for cold nights". Haha

Keeley, Aisha, Faith and Lottie would all be good on a full returnee season. They wouldn't be able to carry it on a 4 returnee v newbie season like this was but with all newbie returnees they would be good.
