How would I react? I would think given what I’ve said here it’s pretty obvious id acknowledge I got completely outplayed, shake his hand and walk out.

Don’t know that I’d hug Mo (if the bullying allegations are true) but I’d also shake her hand.

This might just be a difference in opinion but to me, they are playing an individual game and if you get outplayed you shouldn’t take it personally. I was raised to shake hands with my opponents and I would hope others see it the same way.
look in general i would too, i would even go over to Mo and fully expect her to ignore my handshake but Phoebes reaction is totally fine in this case as far as i am concerned. She was humiliated Dave and that is way worse than a normal blindside

Sure maybe Dave embarrassed her a bit in the way he went about it but that’s part of the game, people get betrayed and humiliated by their allies all the time.

What Dave did to her was in-game but that moment when you get voted out and everyone says goodbye, to me, is the only out-of-game moment you get in Survivor. Dave stood up to show it wasn’t personal and Phoebe went the childish route and shunned him.

It’s a game.

After i had already gone behind his back the last tribal council? I would think 'should have seen that coming'

Phoebe just didn't vote the way Dave wanted, Dave was the deciding vote in sending her home while stealing her idol and flaunting it in front of her after he'd seemingly forgiven her, she had more reason to be pissed off than most people that get voted out so I don't blame her for reacting that way.

Also there are plenty of people that don't hug the person that is responsible for voting them out but usually they aren't sitting right next to them at tribal like Dave was with Phoebe which made her snubbing him more noticeable. If Dave was sitting down the other end no one would have cared that she didn't hug him, just like no one cared that she didn't hug Moana who was sitting down the other end and was also responsible for voting her out.

I think given Dave made a concerted effort to give her a hug and she made a pointed remark to him “nah maaaan” or something to that effect it made it very clear she took it personally. Add in how flick reacted last night (noting she also got properly betrayed and embarrassed by her alliance) and phoebes reaction looks at best immature and at worst being a sore loser.

Mat Rogers said the other day they basically condense 3 days into one episode.
Pretty tough gig to edit everything in of relevance .

No doubt some feel hard done by as far as their edit goes

They could easily do more. The shows run about a half hour longer than the US version and they don't show any more than the US version does. They just needlessly draw it out to fill the time. Edit it tighter and include more content and it would be way better.

For example, we got nothing about Phoebe and Locky going on the ice-cream reward a week or so back. We got a few "suspicious looks" shots of David but then nada after that. No confessionals by anyone questioning those two going. I'm still stunned this was never done, considering David ultimately blindsided Phoebe.

I have to question Mokuta's sit out selections in the reward challenge last night. Sitting out Nick, Tarzan and Sharn when you can't sit out the same three in back to back challenges was always going to hurt them in the immunity challenge when two of Dave, Zach and Lee would have to sit out assuming the 2 guys and 1 girl from reward was applied again. One of those three needed to sit out the reward.

Makes even less sense that it was a Best of 5 challenge and yet each tribe had 6 participants, with David and Harry not even being used. Unless they did the thing where they actually had way more rounds and then edited it down to 5, which they surely must be doing, right? Even with JLP saying it's to 5, no doubt they film that and actually do more rounds while out there so everyone competes? I know the US version does this but did it happen in this one? Still, given the enforced sit outs and what is shown on TV, it makes no sense to the viewer if you think about it.

It shits me how we lose stuff like Dave agreeing to throw a challenge for Mat and Moana actually betting $500 at the auction before Phoebe but instead we get a talent show and a story from Lee how Tarzan wakes up in the morning and cleans himself.

Flick didn't get betrayed and embarrassed by her alliance as much as Dave betrayed and embarrassed Phoebe and Flick blindsided Brooke in a previous season so she should have been expecting it unlike Phoebe who thought Dave had forgiven her after sharing her idol clue with him, she should have known better than to trust him though.

There are some of those one on one challenges where you see one person competing twice and other people not competing at all.

Like that reward challenge where they had to knock off the other person's little idol that they were holding on a stick, Henry competed twice while other people in his tribe didn't compete at all, that was straight after Henry said he needed to prove his worth in challenges.

So let’s see - US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, North Korea, China, Taiwan, Iran and Iraq.

What could possibly go wrong with those groupings?
We could rename the show "Quarantine Survivor"

They only get included if Steve Smith and Dave Warner are our two contestants from Australia.
Honestly though I think it would be better as a 5: US, UK, Aus, NZ, SA. 4 each.

We could use AK, Harry, Dave and Luke. Hopefully one of those first 3 win it this season cos it's hard to believe probably our 4 best players have never won a series.

I can forgive Mo for hyping herself up as a the best footballer since Ron Barrassi pre AFLW career
I can forgive Mo for her terrible AFLW career
I can forgive Mo for coming across as just nasty in survivor

But if she blindsides my boy Dave I'm all aboard the "f&*k you Moana" bandwagon

I’d argue the first point is semantics. They both trusted people they shouldn’t have and got embarrassed at a tribal with individuals actions. I actually think the way AK got up and convinced Harry to stick strong in front of Flick was more embarrassing for flick that what Dave did to Phoebe especially considering Dave is just flashy anyway.

The second point is actually the point I’m making about Phoebe, she put herself in that position and if she believed Dave had forgiven her then she should blame her own poor judgement not Dave.

I understand Phoebe’s emotions in the moment. She was not only blindsided but David flashing that idol at her would have been a kick in the guts.
Yeah I get that. The funny thing is that Phoebe appears to have gotten over it but some posters here haven't!

Have people forgotten that Pheobe told Nick that David was gunning for him?

Shonee is a perfect example of someone that when they don't have the numbers, you put away the strategy and ramp up the social game into overrdrive and give them a reason to keep you.

Mo also alluded to the fact at tribal she isn't going to play with someone who doesn't invest time with her socially. (Open for debate whether that's fair/right but that's her prerogative)

I like Pheobe, but I think this season she wasn't prepared for another season on the wrong side of numbers and after getting a taste of being in Lochy/Brookes alliance, she couldn't adjust after the tribe swap. I hope she gets another crack at Survivor, and in time realizes she could have done a few things differently.

On an unrelated note, thought it was really refreshing to hear people at tribal admitting they've been coasting. Also props to Harry who has a real skill in presenting those facts to the people he's talking about, not only being inoffensive but in a way that's beneficial to them as well. He's a gun.

Dave didn't appear to invest time with Moana socially either yet she has chosen to play with him. As Phoebe said Moana targeted her straight after the tribe swap when Phoebe fell on the wrong side of the numbers and Moana made no effort to socialise with her by staying in the shelter so you can't just say that was all Phoebe's fault.

She made a mistake crossing Dave but the main reason she went home was because Moana was hellbent on voting her out and she had the numbers on her side, mostly through good fortune with the tribe swap. I don't believe she just voted Phoebe out for strategic reasons either, it seemed she had some personal grudge against her for whatever reason.
