It was a stomping alright, buuuut enough about the running between/on the wickets. Few unlucky moments for the Irish aside, they never really gave themselves a chance with some of their weird tactics.

Hard to get a true gauge on Australia's form until Wednesday, no disrespect to their recently defeated opponents. Should be interesting to see how they handle a jump in quality after a few weeks of comfortable victories. Looked like hard work was paying off in the field today though, hopefully they've been doing plenty of night training sessions too.

I'm guessing you're right, but it's still something I wonder about. Still think our men could learn a bit from our women, though.

Womens fastest bowler is 126km per hour. Adding another 20km per hour on top of that would find them struggling to pick the gaps with ease.

Let off the hook massively with Healy dropped on 11 and, to a lesser extent, Haynes dropped on 20 and 27. Very scratchy stuff from the rest of our batsmen with a lot of rather typical dismissals tbh. New Zealand shouldn't get near this target, but you can't take tight bowling and clean fielding for granted.

It's impressive the way Meg can make the same tactical errors time after time. Just no feel for how/when to deploy and support each of her bowlers. Usually only stuffs up that bad in a knockout match, maybe she'll have run out of bad ideas by the pointy end of the tournament this time!

Unfortunate head clash to Healy, struggling to take anything clean all innings probably spurred her overeagerness in going for a catch that wasn't really hers. Could've ended up a lot worse, at least Schutt seemed to come out of it injury-free.

Fine job of clearing that psychological hurdle today against West Indies in the semi. Can't imagine the pitch for the final will quicken up much, our key batsmen playing within themselves for most of the innings worked today and should be kept in mind for the decider vs India (or maybe England).

Mooney, Gardner and Villani should probably be spread out in the order more to minimise FOW cluster potential. This tournament has really only reaffirmed their limits in non-preferable conditions so far.

Well done to our Aussie girls, a brilliant bowling display today.

Can't believe Haynes struggled to get a game 18 months ago, she is fantastic in the late overs.

I hope the big three countries in cricket don't get too far ahead of the other nations.

So much better watching the girls than the men’s side most of the time

Will be interesting to see if England have learnt the lessons of the semi final at the last World Cup

Final on today at 11. Should be a good game or at the very least something to distract me from studying for exams.

    It will be both.

The pitch is really sticky and Beaumont pays for it.

It's gonna be a low scoring one looking and how the first few overs are going

Doesn’t look like the greatest of pitches. Aussies have got off to a mixed start , dropping two early.

That type of suicidal run usually occurs in the last 4 or 5 overs.

Wyatt’s been dropped three times. Handing England a competitive score.

I’m happier now, nice bowling from Ash and a good catch by the captain.

I'm surprised Healy didn't go up for the edge.

I’m feeling a little more confident now, if we can keep the Poms below 100 we will be a strong chance.
