I didn’t mind him, I thought he was the best commentator today. Some of the others were deplorable.

T20 would be perfect for the Commonwealth Games, 3 or 4 short, exciting matches a day over the course of the games and then on the final day of the Games, Australia beats England for the gold.:D

The only issues I can see is if the West Indies and Ireland were going to be involved. The West Indies would have to break up into individual countries, while Ireland could only field players from Northern Ireland.

With that in mind, how may teams would you have at a Commonwealth Games tournament. 8 would probably be ideal to fit it in to the 10-ish day schedule of the Commonwealth Games.

For the record, breakdown of the Windies women who played at least one game in the tournament just gone:

    Dottin, 27 - Barbados
    Matthews, 20 - Barbados
    Knight, 26 - Barbados
    Selman, 29 - Barbados
    Connell, 26 - Barbados

    Taylor, 27 - Jamaica
    Henry, 23 - Jamaica
    McLean, 23 - Jamaica

    Cooper, 29 - Trinidad & Tobago
    Mohammed, 30 - Trinidad & Tobago

    Campbelle, 26 - Guyana

    Fletcher, 31 - Grenada

So from that you'd think Barbados would be the team to enter, with those from the other nations given the choice to join them. Then maybe they'd compete as Jamaica at the following Comm Games, etc.

Always makes me laugh when fielders in the deep lose the ball in the sun, with sunglasses sitting on the back of their hat.
