We kept NZ to 2/137, which is our lowest wicket tally when bowling first and bowling the full 20 overs

The bigger issue though is Gardner going off with a finger injury

And with Gardner off I do question if King is the best replacement fielding option, especially she again dropped a pretty regulation catch with Devine scoring another 13 runs after the drop

Game 3 last game for the Aussie players for a while:

Australia XI: BL Mooney†, G Voll, P Litchfield, EA Perry, A Sutherland, TM McGrath*, GM Harris, G Wareham, AM King, KJ Garth, M Schutt

New Zealand XI: SW Bates*, GE Plimmer, AC Kerr, IR James, SFM Devine, BM Halliday, ML Green, JM Kerr, PM Inglis†, RA Mair, EJ Carson

New Zealand have won the toss and they have opted to bowl first.

Highest score on this ground in a T20 game in a WT20I is 159 runs in Wellington. Originally, thought this game was played at the Basin Reserve.

Wonder if we were tempted to give Faltum a game behind the stumps and use Mooney in the field as we've often seen when playing both Healy & Mooney

With Faltum named in this squad, it would suggest she's currently seen as the keeper in waiting and maybe getting the odd game into her, especially in a dead rubber, could be a good way to get the odd game under her belt

Voll is a very good boundary hitter, but if she could develop her game to look for the gaps to run singles & 2s between those boundary balls, she'd become a more dangerous player

At the moment she just seems to have a high percentage of her runs come from boundaries with that her focus when it comes to scoring

Looking at Mooney's approach with how few for balls she faces, I think a few of our younger players can learn from that approach

NZ should be dominating this game but those dropped catches are inexcusable for a supposedly international side.

These NZ ladies need to work on alot of their fielding during this break. Some of this is beyond laughable and lacks basic common sense.

Perry gets Australia to 180 in the last game of the summer and that will be too much for the NZ ladies.

Just a matter of how much Aussies win by for me from here.
