After a poor ashes and world cup campaign, Tim Nielsen has been sacked as Australian coach. Replacing him is young west Australian Reiley Guest. At the press conference today Guest was quoted saying "I'm looking forward to taking these guys to the top. With a world class batting lineup and a very solid bowling side Australia will be back in top very soon"

Another wicket to White allowed us to run through the tail and skittle them for 147 in 37.5 overs. Johnson was the pick of the bowlers with 5/22 off 8.5. White with 2/17 and Siddle 2/20 strongly backed up Johnson.
Coming out to bat Watson and Hughes started out strong took the score to 65 before Watson went. Ponting joined and made 10 but wHen he went the score was 2/95. We then lost 2/4 to be 4/99 before Michael Hussey and White steadied the ship, 124 and 138 before Johnson and Paine took us home.

Result: Australia win by 4 wickets with 145 balls remaining.

Score summary: Chittagong 147 (Ahmed 48, Johnson 5/22) lost to Australia 6/148 (Hughes 56)

MOTM: Mitchell Johnson 5/22 and 4 not out

Johnson

Siddle
Bollinger

Toss: Bangladesh elect to field

Summary: Phillip Hughers is given the job of opening the innings In his first ODI, he made 19 before hitting a catch to Jubair off Reza at 27. On 8 Ponting gives Reza his second wicket caught by Islam leaving Australia at 2/39 and in trouble. Watson and Clarke steady the ship, brng the hundred in the 23rd over and the 100 partnership in the 28th over. Watson and Clarke both past 50 start to hit the ball around, scoring 50 runs between the 30th-35th overs. Watson reaches 100, a beautiful century. Clarke departs on 191 Hussey with Watson put on 62 taking us to 258. White goes for 11, with the score at 275 before another 60 odd run stand between Paine and Watto put us up to 6/336 with 4 balls left. Johnson and Doherty add a crucial 5 runs, leaving us at 7/341 off our 50 overs with Watson not out on 164 off 122 balls, a superb knock. Bangladesh start off strongly adding 40 in the first 4 overs before Losing 4/20, with Bollinger taking 3. Al Hansan on 87 and the match looks over. Islam and Jeza add a hopeful 59 before another collapse of 3/16 puts the result in no doubt. Shouvo and Haque add a magnificent 156 to take the tigers to 318, still 23 short. The last pair take the score to 338, 4 short of a great comeback win. Watson claims the last wicket and a win for Australia.

Score summary Australia 7/341 50 overs (Watson 164*, Clarke 79, Reza 3/58-10, Shuvo 3/61-8) defeat Bagladesh 338 46.4 overs (Shuvo 98, Haque 70*,Reza 53, Bollinger 3-54-10)

MOTM: Shane Watson 164* and 2/35-6.4

Thoughts: We didn't deserve to win, if we can't keep a tail to say more then then 50 then there is something wrong with the bowling, we clearly thought the game was over, but it wasn't. Credit to Bangladesh for sticking at it. On the bright side were 1 zip up and we batted really well, like to be more aggressive at the start but you cAnt have em all.

Re: CC2011-Australia's rise to the top

2nd ODI against Bangladesh

Squad
Same as first ODI

Toss: Bangladesh elect to bat

Summary: Iqbal and Nafees start out solid but slow, Iqbal goes with the score at 48 in the 13th for 30 bowled by Watson. A wicket to Johnson soon after opens the door for the Bangladesh cracks but Nafees and Al Hassan start to turn things around for the tigers. With the score 2/135 and looking set for 250+ Cameron White, in his 3rd over grabs a crucial wicket, Al Hassan leg before. Islam is dismissed by Doherty at 148 before Reza and Nafees take the score to 184 before Nafees heads back to the pavilion with a sound 60, bowled by White. Australia then run through them tail, taking the last 6 wickets for 21, leaving Bangladesh with only 206 to defend. An aggressive start does not bring any good for Australia at 4/54 with Hughes , Watson, Ponting and Hussey back in the pavilion. But White (46) along with Clarke steady the ship to 150 before White heads on his way, closely followed by Paine. Johnson then proves his batting worth as he is there at the end with 19 not out with Clarke, who anchored the innings for the Aussies with 95 not out.

Score Summary Bangladesh 205 45.4 (Nafees 60, Al Hassan 42, White 3/35-10) lost to Australia 6/206 38.3 (Clarke 95*, White 46, Jubair 3/45-10) by 4 wickets with 69 balls remaining

MOTM: Cameron White 3/35-10 and 45

Thoughts: much better bowling performance, didn't let the tail get away and good to see the 2 spinners ( Doherty and White) grab some crucial wickets. Bear (White) was great With bat and ball and deserved his MOTM award. Good to see Joni and Bolli grab a couple of wickets and that Harris 1/31-9 was economical. Batting was a disappointment, stupid shots at the start, good then to see Pup and bear keep the scoreboard ticking over but getting the old boundary. Solid performance today but we can improve greatly.

Australia lead the series 2-0

Re: CC2011-Australia's rise to the top

Is this on the app store ? Bought CC2011 for my iPad and found it alright but a bit unrealistic.

Hussey and Clarke are so good though.

Also Marcus North is a very good bowler and Hussey is always good.

Re: CC2011-Australia's rise to the top

3rd ODI

Squad
Same as before

Toss: Australia elect to bat

Summary: Not going to say much here. Bowled out for 155, Hussey got 54, everyone else batted poor. Bangladesh bowled well but we played poor shots. Chasing 156 we bowled bad, but it was Bangladesh's day.

Result: Bangladesh won by 9 wickets

Very disappointed.

Australia win the series 2-1, look towards Sri Lanka now.
