Could very well have been the case. Realistically he could have slotted into the Test team sometime well before 2010. Averaging 37 in Windies domestic is nothing to scoff at.He hasn’t played a first class match for six years but he averaged 37 and hit four hundreds in 27 games.
it is surprising that he was never given a chance at that stage and I’d say he saw the dollar signs and thought it wasn’t worth pursuing
