As bad as things seem, at least we're not Geelong perpetually headed for a cliff. Every win just inches them closer to their downfall.

I don’t understand the issue, our Capt is playing in defence to steady the ship. Surly that enough?
Didn't Zurharr mention something about finals?
Where at the point where it's ****ed our best mates and taken our dogs...It feels like the decline in a relationship. It starts off really well. Good times with a great person. But then the person changes. They make mistakes but you treasure what you had and you trust they'll come good. It goes from disappointing you to hurting you. But you know it'll come good. But it doesn't. Now you expect to be hurt. You want to walk away but you can't. Because, you now, it used to be good and it might again. But it won't.
This is really testing our small supporter base following the previous 3 seasons.
They say that doing the same thing over again and expecting a different outcome
is a sign of insanity.
No doubt that the players have lost confidence both in the team, the Club and themselves.
Clarko might have come into 2024 with a specific plan but its just not working and we now hear that
some players may be seeking to go to greener pastures, Who can blame them.
Clarko needs to pick, a team that can be competitive. For starters pick, players in the ideal position.
Teach them how to tackle. Players aren't learning when they are getting belted by 60+ points.
Wishful thinking by him at the time to make his decision to stay easier. Looks like now his decision to leave will be a no brainer.
After watching him for the first time that's kind of how he plays.Or the complete opposite. He knows we are nowhere near that and was setting his narrative up so if he leaves he can just put blame there rather than take any responsibility himself.

Good post unlike a lot of the other dribble that's on hereIt was night and day how much better the midfield looked with one of Curtis or Sheezel in the middle. The reason being that those guys actually know how to read the whole play and not just the ball.
We have some good mids in there but they are one track minds (LDU, Wardlaw, Simpkin, Powell etc). These players are useful but when you have 3 in there you're playing Russian roulette because there is no structure if the opposition win the ball.
It's a small thing but Curtis and Sheezel read who is going to win it and are a step ahead on positioning in anticipation. It makes a huge difference.
We swap them out for Simpkin and suddenly all of our guys are out of position.

There's definitely something to this.It was night and day how much better the midfield looked with one of Curtis or Sheezel in the middle. The reason being that those guys actually know how to read the whole play and not just the ball.
