Where we are at - a Squiggle rating of 42.5 (For reference we started the season where West Coast currently are).

At the end of last season we had a rating of 46.5 and finished 2022 with a rating of 42.8.
Fitzroy at the end of 1996 were a shade under 44.

We are "performing" at an uncharted level of bad and getting worse.

Club is rotten to the core.

Oh, it's unwatchable alright, and you may be right about the rest, too. Before we rush to that judgement, though, I truly hope Clarkson will be afforded the freedom to coach to the full extent of his style ability, because I find it unfathomable that 'the greatest coach of the modern era' can, just a moment later, be the very opposite of that.
It’s not a moment though.

It’s a decade after his last flag and six years after he coached Hawthorn to finals.

He’s added some absolute cats to the list.

Genuine concerns over his ability.

Christ I haven't looked at the squiggle since the glory days of 2016 when I thought we were a chance at pinching one :$

When is the statement Clarko?

You can’t keep rewarding senior players and leaders for this s**t.

If we are going to get flogged with no output from the senior players, let’s get flogged pumping games into kids.

Corr - when is enough?
Simpkin - his effort as a leader is appalling. Watched him jog on transition constantly.
Stephens - is he blowing you weekly? Not sure how he commands a game?
Scott - soft s**t campaigner that can’t use the ball
Tucker - what the * does he bring?
McDonald - clown time. But at least he gives some effort, but it s**t
Phillips - delist. Slow plodder that wouldn’t be on another list.
Biggie - is clueless. But not sure what to expect when there is no leadership directing him.

McKercher should be playing twos. Play him in the midfield in the VFL. Before anyone howls me down, he was just getting cheap ball down back and can’t defend.

The club is a mess and at lot of it is because Clarko won’t make the calls that need to be made and make senior players accountable for their crap.
Corr - agree. I said he needed a block of games to get back near his best, he's had that and still battling.
Simpkin - At best ive always been on the fence with him due to his skills, but until the last year you would dare say that on here. More frustrating for atm is he gets burnt off too easily when in the middle trying to make an unbalanced figertip tackle.
Scott - We got bigger problems to
Tucker - fringe player at best, so shockers today.
McDonald - agree
Phillips - I still think he'll make it, shocker today tho. At the very least we have so many other spots to fill get used to him being on the list along time unless we're offered a first rounder somehow. Or is used with second or third rounder to get a quality player. Unlikely at this stage, so get used to him.
Biggie - At least has something to work with. Could teach 3/4s of our list how to spoil.

**** me dead Clarko. The backline is a shambles with Sheezel in there anyway. Stop ****ing trying to clog the dam with used chewing gum and use the kid to try and create something forward of centre.

It’s such a defeatist attitude. Stop playing natural midfielders as defenders. It doesn’t t ****ing work long term and is a waste.

Absolutely smashed in every part of the ground again. Lucky it wasn’t much worse on the scoreboard. I don’t know what to say. Yes we know where we are at and yes we have a lot of work to do but this is hard to watch every week. Teams that aren’t much chop look brilliant against us.

Curtis in the middle, Larkey in the middle, those moves gave us lifts but robbed us as well. Still better to see something different tried.
Reckon there will be a fair bit more of robbing peter to pay paul . Simply need another 5 players to fill our voids.

2. ‘MISTAKE AFTER MISTAKE’ DOOM ROOS… BUT IT’S ABOUT THE ‘LITTLE WINS’

The Roos rued continual errors in their 57-point defeat – another in a long, growing line of uncompetitive losses – but an AFL great says they will take solace in their small victories.

Alastair Clarkson’s men were blitzed in transition and weren’t overly impressive with ball in hand — feeding a massive deficit that grew throughout the afternoon.

“These skill errors; they kill you if you’re a developing side,” Healy lamented on Fox Footy.

“It’s just mistake after mistake from this young Roos side.”

Evidently, there wasn’t much to write home about for the Kangas, but Healy maintained they will continue to emphasise their “little wins”.

“I reckon they’re going to keep breaking it down and looking for positives, and there have been some,” Healy told the broadcast in the fourth quarter.

“We’ve spoken about some of their players who have played well – Charlie Comben is a real positive for them (in defence).

“They were really competitive with clearance early in the game, (but) it dropped off in the second half … their contested ball was pretty good for a period of time.

“They’ve just got to (focus) on little wins.”

In a rare, welcomed sight for Roos supporters, Harry Sheezel was afforded centre-bounce opportunities.

“Harry Sheezel, we spoke about him pre-game, and he is (in the centre circle), which I like,” Johnson told Fox Footy at three-quarter-time.

“Look at his plots there – and a lot are in the back half, I get it.

“But, playing this role, he’s going to get his back-half disposals anyway, maybe more through that mid-zone (and) a couple inside forward 50.

“He’s part of the flexibility with (Zane) Duursma and (Colby) McKercher and just those extra layers that they can throw into the middle of the ground, and Paul Curtis is getting a go (in the midfield) as well.”

Sheezel recorded 29 disposals on Saturday, which trailed only McKercher (32) to lead the Roos, while Duursma booted a pair of majors.

lol this is not it. Every club does the same thing. When Richmond & co can win flags doing it, then it’s not even in the ballpark.

End of the day the AFL & by virtue of that the government gives the club millions (how much funding does state & fed gov give the AFL?), there should be a community outreach program.
Dream on brother

Have never said this about a North side and never ever did I think I'd be saying it about a North side coached by Clarko.

But we are ******* soft. Genuinely full of cats.
I believe all but one of our players come from private school backgrounds so entitled privileged and soft
