Bloody disappointing to be so close and not get the win. But that’s such a step up in intensity from last week, and so much was done well, I don’t feel as bad as I might have. Coulda shoulda but yes, oh well. Mid-forward connection wasn’t great and defence was predictably porous - really missed Comben - but the effort and heart was there and it feels like there is plenty to work with in the second half of the season.

I think Larkey’s non-holding the ball in the goal square is the worst decision this season. The umpire should be given a demotion.

Fyfe high front end contact on LdU was pretty bad.

Pink couldnt have made more errors, Konstantys pressure is great but hes terrible with the ball. Mcdonald got marked on way too much for a veteran defender.

He’s been very good all year including tonight.

Couldn't be more impressed by the effort of the players, smashed our record for inside 50 tackles for one. That it didn't translate to a smashing on the scoreboard leads to serious concerns as to the effectiveness of the gameplan.

But my worst fears have been realised, a tiny loss from a sold home game. If that was at Docklands we win that game and keep our season alive. With the reality of a loss now we're buried for 2025.

I'm so pissed off at the club for putting money ahead of winning. Gagf.

It's competitive. It would be nice if we converted 2 more of those 4 close losses/draws.

The wheel is turning.

We all know what needs to be fixed, but a lot more positives than negatives.
