Very important game in terms of development, we got to play the game we wanted to play in a dangerous ground against a much more experienced team and we put a 4 quarter effort in which didn't result in a blowout, and we didn't drop our heads for any prolonged period and most importantly; the seniors actually stepped up and provided some decent games so the juniors can get involved later; which they did.

Our backline setups were also fantastic, a lot of the game was played with locking it in the forward half which is the way to play GMHBA, don't let it become a footrace keep the pressure on and play from stoppages to lock it in the forward half and for most of the game we did that, we actually would have won if it were for cleaner skills going forward on the attack executing that last kick.

Now arguably the Cats were pretty shit, and couldn't kick a goal if their lives depended on it but that doesn't matter, I expected a blowout, we didn't get that, we got to play the game on our terms for most of it and these sort of losses are important to the development and getting better, not the ones like the Bulldogs loss, those hurt you.

In 1 year that game can be turned around into a win once experience, skills and maturity take hold.

Good scrap but after Hall got injured you would have thought JZ had Henderson, Stewart and so on in his supercoach team.

Very predictable coming out of our backline and you just know we will get outmarked down the line and the ball is coming back.

Sadley this was so true. Especially in 4th quarter. We really need a better system than the panicked bomb out of defence.
