Disgusting performance in my opinion. Embarrassed to collect 4 points dishing up that garbage. Says a lot more about Melb than us.

Betts, CEY and Greenwood got us over the line.

Umpiring was diabolical.

Tex is just embarrassing himself at this point.

Gibbs is interesting. Theoretically he was complete trash but if he was instructed to sacrifice his game and not let Oliver get near it, then fair dues, did the job I guess.

Seeds was hugely disappointing.

12 goal loss the next 2 weeks unless some drastic changes happen.
Umpires was crap, how wasn't that a 50m after B.Crouch marked uncontested......lucky he kicked the goal.

That was some of the most unaccountable, lazy, insipid and soft football I've seen from us since the Alice game. Still, we were able to fight back and win which is a positive sign but, **** me, we have so much to work on. Lynch showed us how much we missed him last week, the Eagles killed us in the air and we lacked someone who can take a grab. I really liked Gooch's game, we played him to best suit his strengths and he showed what he can do, rarely wastes an I50 and is worth persisting with. Crouch, huge and, dare I say, Kelly has been ok in recent weeks. JJ was awful in the first half but stepped up in the last quarter, he stays for now. As for others... Atkins just has to go now, should've been dropped a fortnight ago and nearly cost us tonight. Talia would almost be on notice if it wasn't for the fact we have no real back-up, both his defending and kicking is costing us dearly.

Weird game. Played like shite in the first three quarters, then somehow turned it on in the fourth, kicking eight of the last nine

Brad and Lynch huge. Gallucci, Milera, Kelly all solid. Smith the only one to really take the game on throughout the night. Greenwood, CEY, even JJ came up big in the fourth.

Not many positives other than that

Got the 4 points, disappointing effort for the most part.

Brad, Lynch great. Eddie put fear in them late in the game.

Got there in the end without our two hardest workers in Sloane and Matt.

Melb should go watch the Alec Baldwin scene - Always be closing.
And JJ was great too...don’t forget JJ
Without Sloane it was tough to win ...that’s when I gave them up.:$

BEST
Adelaide: Lynch, B. Crouch, Laird, Greenwood, Ellis-Yolmen, Atkins

How the hell is Atkins in there? What were they watching? That was some of the worst football I have seen from the little Who-ville squib.

Mackay was also unbelievably bad. Just awful.

Keath was constantly out of position.

Jenkins is so so lazy. The laziest player I have had the displeasure to watch.

I thought Smith worked hard to get us back moving.

If we can't get some of our talented youth into that 22, is clear our club has become a dead set basket case.

The Rat (aka the mole-rat) did pretty much everything in his power to lose that game for us, luckily he came up just short.

I don't mind Rat, you know what you are going to get which is basically average. I am happy for him to be on the list as a backup but surely we have a young talented player that can get in the team ahead of him.

Just shows why you never give up.

Midpoint of the second quarter I noticed RoB really improve his contests with Gawn. Early in the game Gawn was.jumpomg early into RoB at the bounce. RoB adjusted by getting.to the bounce a bit quicker and jumping earlier himself.

He also engaged Gawn a bit earlier around the ground.

Gawn still win a decent amount of hitouts after that, but RoB won a few key contests as well.

That to me was a bit of a game changer. Especially late as RoB got more confident and Gawns dominance faded a little bit more.

We dont need Grundy and I don't think the club is interested we have a genuine top shelf (I.wont say truly elite) Ruckman in RoB. We would be stupid to waste the picks and salcap to bring Grundy over. We NEED more blue chip mids.

Woah

Good:
Brad - did very well given the ruck situation and no Sloane
JJ - no complaints about his return
Lynch - ran all night long
Gooch - only 13 disposal, but all class 6 inside 50s = with Brayshaw and Harms as most on the ground)
CEY, Eddie and Thor in the last really stood up
Laird - did his usual
Kelly I thought was good.
Gibbs as a tagger was actually good (props to Pyke)

tbh not many others were all that great

Bad:
Atkins must go 27 touches but cripes.
Murphy as well must be close to gone. He needs to do more 4 touches is not enough
Mackay as well sorry. Nope. Give me Chayce
The ruck situation? Check the stats. I thought Brad was patchy at best. CEY was huge and Greenwood came up big in the last quarter. Lynch out sole forward although Jenkins did a couple of things.

I torched RAT in the Rev Up and he didn't disappoint. If he's in next week he's stolen DMac's pictures. Tex was ordinary. Murphy not enough reward for effort.

There were some diabolical non calls that game too. The umps were not great.

Amazed that Gallucci only had 13 touches and Atkins had 27 touches considering their complete opposite affects on the outcome. Thought Gooch was great.
Just shows how deceiving stats can be. I remember the days of Shane Tuck who would regular chalk up 30+ and have no impact on the game, with many of those disposals ending up with the opposition.

Seed looked like he was runn8ng in quicksand on a number of occasions.

For a team that looks like every single passage of play is essentially by accident and/or brute force and ignorance, that was a solid win from five goals down with our best player benched before halftime.

Oh and if we'd lost, Atkins should have been investigated for match fixing.

Worst performance since the North game.

Too many old slow players just like the North game. Anyway, Sauce and Dougie back next week...

Atkins must be dropped. So many screw ups tonight.

He almost cost us the game with that dropped mark when there was about 90 seconds left.

If he held that mark we never would have ended up in that situation where we had to rely on Melbourne missing two shots to win the game.

He's the softest player to put on a Crows jumper since David Gallagher
