I'm not sure about whether he will get abuse to the same level or if he will react a certain way but one thing is for sure: when he plays us, even if no-one reminds him, he will always question whether he made the right decision or - if the decision was already made by "others" in his circle - whether he could have stood firm and stayed with us.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that every time he steps onto a footy field, this abandonment of us lurks somewhere in the back of his mind. Just waiting to add to the "I'm not as good as I thought I might be" type of thoughts.

So we might still be a bit angry, but he's the one who has to carry this. That's worse, I think.
I think you're severely overestimating his neural capacity and his ability for reflection

Well the poets tell how Pancho fell
And Lefty's living in a cheap hotel
The border's quiet and Cleveland's cold
And so the story ends we're told
Pancho needs your prayers it's true
But save a few for Lefty too
He just did what he had to do
And now he's growing old

And a few grey Federales say
They could have had him any day
They only let him go so wrong
Out of kindness, I suppose
Not quite sure what exactly you're saying there, but Pancho and Lefty has one of my all-time favourite opening couplets, so you're getting a like anyway.

In any case, it beats seeing quotes from Tower Song or Waitin’ Around to Die in the autopsy thread.

Lefty betrayed Pancho and had to live with it and the song is about the consequences sort of, how growing old with his guilt wasn't that great for Lefty. My guess is that's what ansonholt was getting at with JHF. He's gonna have to live with his actions too, with his betrayal of us when we were at rock bottom. Now he's on the way down, while we're hopefully on the way up.

TVZ has alot more sympathy for Lefty than I do tho.

If there was any justice in the world he'd have been tied up in the hot sun, spreadeagled between four stakes and left to die. JHF should suffer the footy equivalent.

Playing for Port my friend
Was gonna get ya Norm Smith soon
But now Hinkley’s left your sinking ship
And your guernseys smell of algae bloom

Something about your mamma's favorite son but it probably can't be typed on here...
Family friendly version:

Playing for Port, my friend
Was gonna get your Norm Smith soon
Now Hinkley's left your sinking ship
Your guernsey smells of algae bloom

You had tree trunks for legs
The biggest the draft had seen
But now my little mama's boy
Gotta find his new BT-50

All the cockledivers say
"He's our Hornet everyday"
But the Carr era go'n so wrong
And the Crows will play semis

Finally restarted kayo this weekend so caught up for the first time with the preseason game against Collingwood - having seen the R1 win first, it’s very clear what North are aiming to do, and it will be interesting to see if they can sustain it week after week and against better opposition. Against not great opponents it’s looked really good so far (in better conditions that preseason game would have been a 10 goal win at least).

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall standard of that Collingwood game. Sure we had problems kicking goals and maybe handling the wind overall, but the greasy conditions had little impact on skills and cleanliness

The ball was zipping up and back

She did for the opening bounce. Started calling it like a midweek maiden at Sale...

I was like, "here we go..."

Starting nerves, she definitely found the right balance.

Miles better than Underwood.
Miles better than a lot more commentators than just Underwood…

Here I was thinking that was a mild '**** you' from the AFL. Alright campaigners, have your win, now watch the replay when you get home and we'll have our work experience Chick calling. Thank Goad for Kayo mini.

Maybe Ken was talking about possessions
Maybe…heard his radio segment last night on Sen where he basically eluded that a reason why north won was because they were older than port…..26.8 yrs on avg to 26.4….. l think …it was such a flimsy defence as to why port lost….( more like an excuse as he then considered it a blip on their behalf because the team weren’t as experienced)…what a loooooong bow by Kenny😂😂

Im not sure what it is, but that win on the weekend has really given me a spring in my step this week!

It was awesome seeing the boys so happy and pumped and Clarko close to tearing up at half time.

Went outside my place late at night after the win and there was a pretty large wallaby chilling on my lawn

It felt symbolic
