Also the scoreboard and Ports inability to play well because they're a schizoid team flattered us frankly. The team played knowing it was going to lose for at least 2 quarters and the worst part is our seniors are the biggest offenders.

We are never gonna advance greatly as a club while the likes of Simpkin and McDonald still shitting it up with basic fundamental mistakes every week.

LDU has frankly been a disgrace since his contract signing. Clearly in cruise mode now hes got the big bucks. Maybe **** him off too. Too many lazy loser coded coasters.

His work in stoppages in the 2nd and 3rd in particular dragged us back into the game - his hands in tight were huge in releasing players on the outside.

Promising sign was McKercher in the last 10 minutes.

While he did get done. He wanted the ball more than ever in the clinches. Thats a good sign.


PLEASE don't coach that out of him.

It's really important that players can immediately get over an error. That does seem to be a trait that McKercher posesses. Horn frances went berserk and gave away frees and a 50 out of anger and frustration.

Players need to learn how to focus and control their emotions.

But it's even better if they make fewer errors.

Thought the changes were good. Don't think we missed Logue or Corr, the backline seemed to be a lot harder to score against on the deck. Archer and Hardeman were good, thought Dawson was ok.

Port are not that great.

Losing sucks but that level of effort and intent now needs to be the weekly standard. Clean up the disposal and set shots and we’re all good.

That was a horrible game for the most part.
At least we had a dip but Port would have lost to almost any other team, they were so bad.
And we never got close to hitting front.
And once again it was mistakes that killed us, many by senior players.
Daniel - WTF. Pick 25. Cost us this year's rounder. Fumbly at ground level and at one stage made three disposal errors in 10 seconds. Awful awful awful.
Jy - not a captain. His disposal errors were unbelievable. Even that one with 30 seconds to go. Hit a target!
McKercher - he's the tin man. No heart at all. Has one trick and when given the chance to use it kicks in out on full.
Tucker - please enough. Stop. 0 touches. Never again. Playing one short with him there.
LDU - stand up man, another one who made bad errors.
Luke Mac - good for most part but one absolute killer of a mistake.
Konstanty - my left nut for a decent small forward

Hardeman looked ok. Persist.
Dawson had a rough game but at least he rebounds a bit. Give him a few more games.
Sheezel bounced back after half time.
Parker did what he was brought in for.
We're a different team when Wardlaw has impact.
Zurhaar much better after half time.
Xerri good.

All in all, just another in a long catalogue of losses. Just as frustrating as the big ones as it was very winnable.
But we don't win. We lose.

What I just can't wrap my head around is why we never look to generate overlap run. We take marks, we wait forever, we kick it long to a contest and a stoppage. Whenever we're forced to try to run it down the ground after a turnover we look good, it clearly suits this side way better.

You could see in those htb against LDU/kerch that no one was running past to give the ball off to.

Kallan Dawson was the main offender. The amount of times he just let Georgiades jump with out competing should see him off the list.
