Didn't seem to do Lynch any harm.
What a whiny bitch he is, fair dimkum.

When they weren't receiving bounces incredibly weighted in their favour and one sided two tiered umpiring we were ok, still got Curtis, Archer, WDawson, Goater, Whitlock and Logue when he returns to full fitness to consolidate and help us push on.

Maybe, but I hope you’re wrong because all the other teams will benefit even more because there are more parents supporting them.
Why?? Why do they matter?Maybe +250 for families of connected people. I'd say the draw against Lions was the catalyst.

It's a bit like T20 and Test Cricket, would you be more inclined to attend the Ashes at the G Boxing Day because we decimated Lanka in a T20 in Cairns in July? I doubt it, tradition is the reason.

We are a Men's football team, predominantly. I personally watch the girls on TV (if I remember it's on) mainly cos I have nothing better to do, not because I care about the result.

In your haste to be more seemingly decent, you're missing the realities of the scenario a bit. People have less disposable income and are staying home more.

He gave us some special moments, more so against the team we're playing this week. Must be the only time I've heard of a players performance resulting in another clubs player sacking.
Loved seeing Aid more than I probably should have.

His 1993 season was truly insane. Worsfold got into him from memory and he was never the same at the start of next season.

Not in the same class as Winston, but still a complete jet when on and with head in the game.

I think we are completely at crossed purposes as regards your response to me. I wasn’t talking/meaning any of that.

Late to the party -a win is a win.

Yeh lots to work on but sure beats feeling like the walking dead after pissing up 1 half of brilliance a la vs Freo or Pies. Or choking or butchering ourselves for 3 weeks in a row.

Noticed a lot more mixed supporter groups than usual ie Richmond and North supporters intermingled and maybe for this reason the vibe was pretty decent both ways which isn't always the case in tight games.

Like a reverse Carlton game.

I rewatched it on TV and liked the game much better. It could have been Dernie and Brad Johnson who were both really enthusiastic about the effort both teams were putting in.

I have to say I really dislike a lot of things about the MCG as a spectator. The scoreboards are obscured for most of the seats in the top deck of the southern stand (the GA part), and it was absolutely freezing in the shade or blinding in the sun. Marvel is a much more comfortable stadium in my opinion, as well as being directly on the train line home.

If the pressure rating is real then in all honesty, it was a fantastic win. Other teams above us have buckled but we stood up and delivered the same back at them. You have to like that. It was tough old style footy. It was a milestone game for one of their triple premiership players so they came at it as hard as they could. Blokes like McKercher responded in kind.

We won.

That's a result.
You're drinking the Kool Aid man.

Stop drinking the Kool Aid.

(Unless its Ken Kesey's I spose.)

Saw a stat on Footy Classified i think that North are ranked number 1 over the last 3 weeks in stopping scores on turnovers and in the top 6 in the other metrics they measured. Bit of a turnaround defensively.
That would be a revolution.

People's obsession with the MCG is so strange to me - like it's a nice ground but it's not that convenient and the fan experience isn't always amazing like you mentioned

Same for me.

Harder to get to for the majority.
Annoying to access as you have to go through specific gates to get to your area.
Pain to meet up with anyone or access other areas.
Visibility isn't as good as Docklands.

Not saying it's not great with 80k people and you're flogging your opponent in a final.

Isn’t Marvel on every train line?

It would be better if they opened the ****ing roof every now and then.

Agree with this also. When it's hot out and the roof is shut it's ****ed
But when it’s cold and wet out, I know where I’d rather be.

No one's ever puked in front of me at Marvel. But someone did on one of the rare instances I went to the G. Thusly, Marvel is clear
