I've decompressed from the trauma-response torture of that last quarter. A lot went wrong today that I'm sure I'll be on here to comb over throughout the week like a sicko but TBH the main thing I'm taking away from that is I went with a big group of extended family (including some little kids I've endured some shit losses with) and we all cheered hard at the end. My girlfriend of five years' first win in person and it was at the G, she went off. Love it.

unfortunately couldn’t watch but also too nervous anyways so without knowing all the details im so happy man, don’t care how u do it just had to win today, and im keen to watch it tonight knowing full well we won, thank goodness, good job boys

Two shocking teams, shocking game of fumbles and mistakes.
How did we win that ?
Did you manage to find a decent seat at the ground Hoj?

Somewhere near a few fellow North Melbourne supporters and with no annoying Tiger Army members blasting you from behind with their form of positivity?

I don’t care how bad we were, if we fell over the line, if we were lucky, if it was ugly because nothing beats winning. NOTHING. Winning builds confidence, winning builds self-belief, winning builds a winning culture and we f*cking won today.

Doesn’t change all the issues we have but there’s one fewer issue to address this week, and that is, we don’t have to review a loss.

We have three players inside the top 20 goal kickers! That’s “goodness” right there, as the nerdy corporates say. Add to that, Cutis has missed the last 3 games. If he had kept up his averages, he would be challenging Ben King.

I needed to cool down after Richmond kicked a goal with about 9 minutes remaining so I went for a walk to cool down to see us through the final minute.

Once the siren went i shouted so loud fist pumping. My puppy got excited with me.

We won but it is hard not to be a little disappointed considering how we played in the first quarter. We won the Q1, lost Q2, drew Q3 and lost Q4, so overall Richmond probably had the better of the game, other than the first quarter when they were totally blown away.
No disappointment at all. This is a young team learning to win, and they won!!!

Kudos to the umps for missing two of the more obvious 50s you'd see. And paying two of the more abysmal insufficient intents you'd ever see.
The two-tired nature is getting 'Ken tiresome. We seem to get the ass end each week, I don't like umpiring bashing but it's a thing, we need to say something now before this shit costs us a big game. How difficult is it to just pay the obviously ones? Outrageous by the lime green maggots.

This is the type of win that means more for the playing group than it does for the fans. The team needs reward and we finally got some reward. So despite today feeling like a loss or a draw, it was in fact a win, and the only way to break a losing culture that has been ingrained since 2020 is to actually win.

For those playing at home - that was our 17th win overall since 2020.

Special mention

Wardlaw - Love the way he goes about it
not the most prolific this game but the early stages of the last quarter was massive and such a bull
FOS probably needs to get to the VFL for a 4-5 week reset just seems unsure at times and needs to gain confidence then bring back into the team.
Scott - Delist asap
Sympkin - Needs to hand over the C
Christ, Jy was largely responsible for setting up our win in the first quarter. Jy and Cam are screwed over around here, IMO.

Huge wet blanket. Went with the kids, and they absolutely loved it. First win they have seen live.

Got to remember why we watch the game, and that’s to enjoy wins. We probably deserved to win the last couple more than today, but we got to sing it. Enjoy it.
100%
Took my daughter who hadn’t seen a win in years and she was wrapt after the game even if I was hyperventilating

Might just keep her interested in the Roos and that’s a huge win in my book.

She sounds like a keeper.
