Phillips gone. Need to move on atleast one of Powell and Simpkin. Preferably both and get what we can.
Maley and shotgun have a future. Both tough as teak but need polish. There is a pulse with Coops. I just hope the club gives him a run of games. He might find a little niche in the backline. Hopeful.
Shame Larks got injured. They didn’t have an answer for him when we were up and going.

Side aiming for the top four vs a side struggling to get out of the bottom four.

There was a lot to like and a lot to dislike.

I'm more interested in how we go against Melbourne next week, tbh.
Thought a few weeks ago melb game was a good chance for a win, problem now is we are banged up a bit

Anyone else impressed with the cheer squads heartfelt rendition of “Bullshite bullshite” towards the umps in the last quarter? Pretty awesome 🙌

That actually started in Bay 29.

Club nor clarko will say a thing
Fortunately, the cheer squad did manage to get a couple of "Bullshit" chants going. A few shouts directed at nearby umpires too were obviously heard and I genuinely believe that two free kicks were paid because someone behind me with a very clear and loud set of pipes called the umpires corrupt. They were obviously angered by it and the short, dark haired boundary ump looked like he was trying to pinpoint the owner of the voice a few times.

There is no way the AFL are not fully aware of the one-sidedness of the umpiring. It stands out in a lot of games and certain teams appear to benefit consistently while others almost never seem to get a fair go. It's really obvious to anyone who watches the game. I no longer consider AFL level football to be a sport. Sadly, it isn't even very entertaining when it's umpired the way it is these days.

With rare exceptions, at some point when clearing D50, you have to kick it to a contest. We do not / cannot consistently win or at least half those contests.

Probably due to the inability of our talls you end up seeing midfielders fly for the ball, only for their opponents to sweep it away when it hits the deck.

Crowd looked pathetic, but sounded loud on TV
Crowd was fine at the ground.

Twenty five years ago we had about 15k rusted on supporters. It could nudge upwards but on a rainy day against Freo, that was it. And that was during the Carey era.

Right now we make dog balls look appetising and the rusted on core is edging towards 25k. We may not be a big club but considering how bad it's been onfield it's still a good feeling to know we're creeping upwards.

Thursday nights are rough as guts for families. That's a fact. Had kids sleeping in chairs and sections emptying out after 9 30pm. I totally get it.

Glad to see it's overall positive in this thread. We tried our guts out, the C listers showed a bit, McKercher is a legend in the making. Love what he's bringing lately. I think Hansen Jnr is in our 22 which is awesome. Moose needs a run and I agree we should try swapping Daniel for Coops.

I think we should move slowly on Zane. He's on the outer atm but I can't shake the feeling he'll come good if we're patient.

Dawson was great. Positive signs.
