Phillips gone. Need to move on atleast one of Powell and Simpkin. Preferably both and get what we can.
Maley and shotgun have a future. Both tough as teak but need polish. There is a pulse with Coops. I just hope the club gives him a run of games. He might find a little niche in the backline. Hopeful.

Probably spontaneous around the ground from a few groups but I can assure you, I saw the guy who started it - how he still has a voice by the end of the game amazes me.

He has stopped bringing the drum these days though - my wife's father got into him about that as the drum seemed to have the exact frequency that hammered his hearing aids to the max so he couldn't hear anything else for a few hours.

Overall can't be happy with an 8 goal loss but could have been worse.

Thursday night footy is for the bin at this time of year. People just don't show up.

Glad at least one other person said it. Might have had one too many jack & cokes and saw it all wrong, but that second half was ars*. Didn't roll over and die under a barrage of pressure and physicality ala the Hawks game, but we were in the fight and just did the usual thing of hand the game over, feel sorry for ourselves for handing the game over, then hand the game over even more. Mentally the team is no further forward than the Noble years.

Mate, they showed a bit of shinboner tonight. Yes, you could feel the team weakening as blokes continually went down and as the umps stamped their influence, but there was grit in that performance. Of all the games to lament the lack of backbone/competence/whatever you want to call it, this ain't it. That was an absolute arse reaming, and if the umpiring department has any integrity (which it may not), it'd be shitting bricks at that display during a primetime game.

Do what some others have done, take a break, and come back when there's a bit in the emotional tank
