Would anyone have the average age of players for both teams last night?
And how does this compare to previous rounds?
Please and thank you

Why does dinkers Daniel take 20 years to kick the ball when he’s doing kickoits while every other player/team moves the ball on quickly so the opposition don’t have time to set up?
Agree, definitely need to improve skills.I agree.... But....when we initially tried this under Clarko our skills are so poor we kept turning it over and getting 80-100pt floggings.
Need to get better skills.
I’m guessing he doesn’t see much as good targets moving in front of him. And because it’s so slow, even it gets hoofed long that’s given Lobb or someone time to get in position to intercept (after Larkey got injured and that magic contested mark game fell away). The opposition’s inside 50/time in forward half gets so inflated by the turnovers and repeat entries, if we could improve this part of our game everything would get so much better. Why does dinkers Daniel take 20 years to kick the ball when he’s doing kickoits while every other player/team moves the ball on quickly so the opposition don’t have time to set up?
We looked so much slower than WB across the ground, but particularly on the spread.
Are all our players that much slower or are our fumbles and poor skills making it look like we're slower?
Give the kick ins to hardeman and we get that. At least he can kick it 60m to the wing. Multiple times last night he gave the short kick then ran hard for the handball receive, bringing the ball to the forward flank.Hoyne from Champion Data said a few weeks back that we are the slowest to dispose of the ball in D-50 and kick it sideways and long, essentially with the most hang time. Only Essendon was close. He and King described what we see every week - the ball moves at snail's pace and the opposition has time to set up and so we can't get it out of our back half.
Last night we lost the inside 50s 43-65 but won the clearances - a regular occurrence this year. As usual, lots of repeat entries from the opposition after lots of slow, sideways ball movement or shallow kicks to a contest from us from D-50. We've seen it all year.
So when in Q1, Dawson immediately and instinctively kicked it 60 metres up the centre from deep in defence (after Stephens' did enough to spoil) it was highly unusual, but we kicked our 5th goal. Later in the game Zurhaar - unusually rebounding back in D-50 - also moved the ball fast through the corridor and we kicked a goal.
We have to start moving the ball immediately and more directly from back there, a lot more often.
We really don't. Who are players who have shown they could absolutely play finals and excel?I am not going to comment on talent because I think it's the emotion talking for you, which is normal after a couple of heavy losses. But when you cool down you will realise that no club has a 23 full of top talent.
I cannot recall him not going this year. For all the swirling doubt around Clarko for me the success of Stephens is a huge indicator that he knows what he is doing.Disco had to go and did.
has really grown this year.
It was heard loud and clear!
Did you see the footage during the week of the bloke taking a hanger over Travis Cloke, and it being paid high contact for the knee to back of the head??? Christ on a bike.Less said about the umpiring the better. We'd have lost regardless, but jeez... if these guys are getting AFL gigs, I'd hate to see the state of the state league umpires.
But Hardeman can’t kick it either. Turns it over as often as Daniel. Flawed kicking style which simply doesn’t stand up when he needs to find a target under pressure. There’s honestly about 8 players on the list with the same problem. Which is why we concede more goals from turnovers in defence than anyone. Our biggest issue. Thank **** we picked up Hardeman.
Very hard for us to transition from defence to attack most games.
Need a replacement for Kerch down back.
Yeah, one of the thoughts I had was we should target some of their recruiting people or scouts, not necessarily to replace Thursfield but to help himWe looked so much slower than WB across the ground, but particularly on the spread.

I reckon there was one of the more blatant 50's missed in the 3rd quarter, I think Finbar took a mark on centre wing and a doggies player knocked it obviously late. The non-decision was compounded when Doggies took it up the other end and scored a goal. This was the statement piece to how umpiring was done the whole night.
Out of curiosity, has anyone seen so many out of bounds calls in a single game (even across both teams although in this case they were all against us)?

I clearly remember the crowd in the Social Club bay losing their collective minds when that happened.I reckon there was one of the blatant 50's missed in the 3rd quarter, I think Finbar took a mark on centre wing and a doggies player knocked it obviously late. Umps didn't have a good night last night.
That's such a balanced age/experience profile the Dogs have. Enough old heads to steer the ship, enough youth to keep the energy up but not too much that when the kids get tired there's no run.

I think he needs to show some intent.
