Believe it or not these wins are important. We rarely come from behind to win and have often dropped our heads in those moments so that was a positive sign.
Players who had poor games lifted in the last to sway the game.
Sheez in the last getting back to his best which is good to see.
Kerch last 3 odd weeks showing great footy again.
Powell gets more criticism than he deserves. Top tackler at club and behind Xerri as best mid.
LDU needs to kick start season to get back to his best. Saw patches in the last.

Stephens probably going a little underappreciated for his game today

Covered the most ground from both teams by nearly a kilometre (15.2km) including the most at high speed (2.6km), and averaged 9.6km/h (most on the ground as well). Was also second on the ground for both work rate in attack and defense. Doing what a good wingman should do despite probably not having the most outstanding game statistically.

must be spewing. He was on the eagle, butt riding them all day. Heally was talking up Reid over McKercher at every opportunity too. I hope both of them swallow a prawn shell sideways.

THE worst performance we've put in this year, it seemed we hadn't played for two months, good pressure from the Eagles but we did it in the first and last quarters. Clutch goal from Bull, this time he kicked it, well done, not a game you will want to watch again, going to say a few things about some of our players. Luke McDonald, saves, puts his body on the line and tried his god-dam heart out to try and get us over the line. Tristan, Tristan, Tristan, what a game again, remember three or four years ago when we were thinking what are we going to do when Toddy was just about finished, now one of if not the best ruckman in the comp, have a look at the last minute of play, he knows, he understands, what it is to be "THE MAN".

Jy, an if game from our Captain, should have probably kicked three or four but never stopped trying, did a couple of silly things in the game but made up for it in the last quarter, well done Captain. Chom, played well, not good news with the injury on his arm/shoulder but hopefully its not to serious, when he went off, the Eagles made their run. Colby, struggled to get into the game {wasn't the only one} but boy oh boy after 3/4 time showed what he can do, run-run-run, link up play, was enormous, again your only seeing glimpses of what he is capable of.

Jacob, great pressure from him at times that didn't get the results we should have got but did some very useful things that some may have missed or not noticed. Mr Curtis, quite simply a star, but more importantly our star. Just can't stress how important "Pauly" is to our team, him and Tristan really gave us some oompf in that first quarter, him & Ben Long

easily the two best small forwards in the comp, now I know some may say he's not a small forward, he is, he plays taller than what he is and he and a couple of others in that game working back in defence, only gave away one silly free kick, love you Pauly!

Last and not least THE BREAKOUT game from "The little shark", "wow", he was literally everywhere in that last quarter, did not stop, hate to say it again but you're only seeing glimpses of how good this young man is going to be, for the whole match in just his 10th game he was seemingly everywhere when the game was on the line, 443 meters gained, just doubled his average in one game, gee he was good today, 17 disposals doesn't seem a lot but if you watch that game again you'd swear he had in the early twenties and its what he did with those disposals that really count, one of the best 17 possession games I've seen in quite a while.

I remember the first time I saw the little shark in the 2023 national championships, played as a resting forward + playing midfield as an under -ager and completely tore the opposition to shreds, tired in the last quarter but it was a defining moment for me, forget 2024, I already knew what he could do and there were a few others on here with the same train of thought, like a racehorse just winning a big race, after the game wouldn't have blown a candle out!

Analysing the game on a fine day after 1/4 time Andrew certainly put time into shutting down players LDU, Harry and George with the focus on pressure & tackling, they missed so many shots at goal but if you counteract that with how poorly we actually played, it probably works its way back to even Steven's. Our pressure in the first & last quarters was superb, in the 2nd & 3rd not so good but again that comes from the pressure they exerted.

Again like a horse race after the bye we were first up from a spell and certainly needed the run, on a percentage basis of how we can play I thought we were around the 40% mark, so much improvement to come and seeing the glimpses of players from time to time give this game a pass mark & nothing more, so happy we won, {we really had to win} everything else can be improved so we move on to round 14 against the Dockers at Perth Stadium which will be 5x harder than todays match. WELL DONE BOYS!! and a little mention to the little.....
