The game literally gave me the shits in the second quarter.

But when we would of typically melted when WC hit the front. We actually kept going and as ugly as it was we won.

Two. One of which he had roll of tape around his face. Fourteen tackles in a pressure cooker game we only just won is not a poor game.

Did Phillips do enough to deserve a call up?

I found that extremely difficult to watch. In fact large portions of it I didn’t watch. I just had it on in the background. I’m in no position to judge who was good. I’m relieved that we won. It would have been a dark day for the club if we lost.

We’ve officially had a better season in terms of points total than 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2020 (shortened season).

That’s at least a positive.

Its the exact mid point of the season too. We could win a few more yet.

Both teams percentages went up, which is about what you'd expect. RHJ doesn't have a future in this side - he got a head start coming in during the third iirc, yet didn't lay a single tackle. Not hard enough.

The major positive is that the boys really wanted it in the last quarter. There was genuine effort and urgency.

The major negative is it took till the last 15 mins.

Hopefully a turning point.

Oh and the umpiring was genuinely garbage. Worst of our games for the year in my opinion.
