I believe the South Korean airforce team are back and they were one of the highlights last time for me. More info at https://airshow.com.au/

Don't have much info regarding the ROKAF Black Eagles returning, however the United States Air Force will be present with the F22 and F16 Demonstration Teams. Worth the price of admission alone

Theres a year 7 boy who is obsessed with planes. I'll have to tell him about this. Hopefully his parents can take him
Bring ear protection as it is rather loud!

Go on the Friday if you can. You get all the daytime good stuff plus you get the night show such as flare drops, fireworks and the wall of fire. And it's not as busy.

Don't park at the airport. The traffic backs up for miles on the highway and it can take an hour to get out after it finishes. Take the shuttle bus from Lara or one of the park and rides they have set up this time.

The Friday show is awesome! The downside is needing a day off work.

The cost this year is ridiculous by nonetheless it’s a great day out and only every second year.

Train to Lara and then shuttle bus is definitely the smart option!

Airshow suspended.
First and foremost we wish the injured pilot a full recovery!

If you’ve got tickets for tomorrow or Sunday keep your eyes on the news before leaving.

It happened right in front of us. He was part of the Paul Bennet Formation Aerobatics Team. Paul Bennet, his son and another plane were doing formations together while a 4th one was doing low altitude stunts on his own. I think the commentators said he was called Glenn. Either he lost power or misjudged a steep descent then he hit the ground, kicking up a big cloud of dirt.

It was a bit surreal. The crowd went silent. The three other planes carried on doing stunts for while not knowing that their mate had gone down. It took about half an hour for ambulance to get to the site. I assume fire and rescue were making sure it was safe for the ambos to approach. Half an hour later the ambulance took him away. They announced on the P.A. that he was alive which got a round of applause. The remaining flying was cancelled for the day which was understandable.

That would be horrible to witness.
Hope you’re okay mate!

I’m going today.
Gates opened 8am but I won’t be there until much later. So anyone else attending who can give us morning updates on traffic, trains etc I’m sure that is appreciated by all.

Hope the pilot has improved overnight. Nobody wants anybody hurt at these events.

I'm ok thanks. Most people seemed to be stunned rather than traumatised. It was down a bank on the other side of the runway so thankfully we didn't see the full details of the impact. It was pretty obvious the flying couldn't continue but everyone stayed around hoping for some good news about the pilot.

They have offered entry to the Sunday show for Friday ticketholders but after the crash I'm over it for this year.
