I saw a similar thread on the Lions board & thought it would be a great idea to run with for our posters.
A recent change to BigFooty has meant that any new poster has a default 'target' avatar (the picture below your username when you post), which looks like this:
While it is intended to show your team's colours, in my opinion it has had the unintended consequence of making new posters kind of blur into one and as we know some posters being accused of being posters they aren't.
So if you want to be a bit more memorable and stand out from the crowd, can I humbly suggest that you upload a unique avatar of your own?
Once you've found a suitable image elsewhere (keep it clean - this is a family-friendly site), you can upload it by clicking here (or the long way: click 'preferences' in the top right corner of the site then in the left column under 'Settings and Options' click 'Edit Avatar').
Then just pop the url of the image into the 'custom avatar' section, or select the file on your computer and 'save changes' (Use photobucket or the like to host you image or save the photo & upload it from your computer).
For those wondering, larger avatars (like mine to the left - The best avatar on Big Footy) are only made available to paying subscribers to BigFooty. While the smaller 'standard' avatar doesn't give you a lot of room to play with, I think it is better than nothing!
Let us know if you have any questions.
