What would the average age of the team to play the Hawks be now we haven't got Black(28yrs), Solly(27yrs) & Macca(31yrs) in ?
Of the inclusions, two are 19 and one is 20, is that not the deal ?

Would have to take our average age down !!!
So no more Bullshit about age on Sunday/Monday then !!!

Worked it out myself you useless unhelpful rabble.
It is 25.27 years, now how does that compare with the others ???

oh apparantly thats around the perfect age so we will be unbeatable from now on.
Since its all about age these days

stupid media how do these guys get jobs.
If they havent actually sat down an watched most the game they should keep their mouths shut.

Well, if the Hawks beat our mob, then we won't be able to lay the blame at the Selection Committee's door. No more talk of 'the game being lost at the selection table.' We wanted Warnock, Ibbotson and Palmer, and we got Ibbotson, Palmer and Mayne. I'm really stoked to these names listed, and can hardly wait until Saturday night.

Question regarding the Hawks? Who are their ruckmen? I can't think of it...will Sandilands/Gilmore (hopefully not M. Johnson) be able to win the taps?

They're playing Carlton. They deserve to cop it if they lose.

StKilda's average age is 25.6 this weekend.. are they going to cop it if they lose? They have 5 recycled players/traded players playing this weekend.

Funny isn't it Bradesmaen. Three points separated the Saints from a galant win or a poor loss on Saturday. They barely managed to kick 6 goals (the same as our forward line alone, who have been ripped to shreds by the media), yet they are still premiership favourites, and no doubt have a strong, mature side.

I just hope Harvey consulted "Polly Zempalis" before not going with Knockers.

Ruckman are Robbie Campbell and Simon Taylor. Sandilands should win the taps against both but I back our mids to poach more than their fair share.

Dont know much about Gilmore.

Gilmore has curly hair, enjoys playing mortal kombat and his favourite colour is shiny bronze. He can ruck somewhat.

well he used to until Brock picked up the controller, when that happened, all the character ran away in fear and hid in the forrest of fear leaving brock to rule underworld for eternity.

Thanks for that. It was been a perennial problem of ours to win the taps but lose the clearances, and I would expect more of the same on Saturday night. Part of the problem is that Sandi gets his hand on it all right but doesn't seem to have the skill to palm it down to inside running midfielders. The other problem is that we don't have any inside running midfielders.

Well, we have one but he's on the sidelines for a year. Do you think we can ask Sam Mitchell to be a pal and give our mob a go? :D

"The changes mean this week's Fremantle side will have 580 games less experience than the team which lost to Collingwood."

Taken from news.com.au.
LOL now we'll be too inexperienced !!!!

Brock doesnt need controls he just kicks in the TV set.

The average age of teams that they come up with at the beginning of the season includes all listed players not just the 22 selected that week.

We are still putting all our eggs in a dangerous basket IMO.

Well from what I have all three have good foot skills. Hopefully this will rub off on Peakey and Tequila.

In the 8 minutes between your posts; Did you have to use your toes as well as your fingers?

On a serious note, the age of our team is not an issue, it's the quality. I have pretty moderate expectations of the "ins" and think we are slightly less likely to win with those "outs". The value in the young guys is more about development imho.

Someone on 6PAARH said that we blooded 5 players(16games) last year which was average for all teams but their players totalled more games around 50-90(I think) except the egirls 5 players (12 games).
He also said he was surprised how fickle freo fans have been this week and how much the media has given it to them after just 1 round.agree completely

Fickle.. freo fans...
I've heard that from the blue and slime fans at work as well.
IMHO it's the media have gunned for us. Apart from the small band of usual suspects, I think we have all been rather reserved here on the board all week.
The media are the ones writing the stories on players ages and all the muck, not the fans...
eg - How disrespectful for Basil Zeplarse to MH this week on T.V...

Could not believe the snide prick last night opened the sports segment with " the Fremantle Dockers have responded to critisism by including three youngsters".

Yeah right Baz, Harves and the club sit around waiting for you media hacks to tell us which way to jump because we really care what you have to say. No wonder they have no respect within the FFC.

Tools.

maybe I've read too many G.Jeff posts.
I thought it has a been a little bit over the top on here for round 1 but yeah the media have been crucifying us.Its amazing when you look at Melb first game with new coach and ours why is our loss worse? Also why aren't the roos copping it as bad(no offence to essendon)as us.

Used all useful utensils actually.
I'm looking bloody forward to the kids myself.
