I blame Xenforo. Made this copy/paste business a nightmare.

In hindsight should've used the code box and put in all the tags myself so when boncer pasted it in it would work.

Hopefully there isn't too many more hiccups.

Easty = shit bloke.

The Shaun Duggan show continues to roll on as against the odds the Wonders captain kicks ahead. Is it a case of medal over already? 6 rounds in and he has a clear lead, however his teammate Wise Guy Sam is hot on his heels. Is it Brent Stanton vs. Jobe Watson all over again? Question is who is Brent and who is Jobe?

Round Seven was dubbed the "Back to Future" round and was laced with some tantalizing match ups. Things were getting serious as some teams started to slip from contention and were thus desperate to get back in the winners circle to keep their season's hopes alive.

First match saw the Gumbies hosting the Hawks at The House of Gumby. The story of this game was the woeful accuracy in front of goals by the Hawks, a dismal 6-20-56 was never going to be enough as the Gumbies converted their opportunities kicking 13-6-84 running out comfortable 28 point victors and, in doing so, sending a message to the rest of the league that they are still a force to be reckoned with. The forlorn sight of Boncer trudging of the ground with 0 goals and 6 behinds to his name was too much for the Gumbies supporters, poor old Boncer copped it all the way up the race to the dressing rooms. The Gumbies were best served by veterans Marklar and peterss who were both outstanding all game. Whoopsman also starred on a wing whilst Armitage2Riewoldt's execution was clinical, 4 kicks for 4 goals. The Hawks also had some standouts, probably none better than the wily Larrikin. He was well supported by Gilbert_Hodge and IMS whilst Matt121's 3 goals saved the Hawks from further embarrassment.

Vote Predictions -

3 - peterss
2 - Marklar_33
1 - Larrikin

Next match saw the Demons hosting the Wonders at the Snow Dome and what an epic encounter this turned out to be. After a tight first quarter the Demons managed to edge out to a handy lead but it was never big enough to guarantee the 4 points. The Wonders continued to plug away and came home with a wet sail in the last quarter but were beaten by the clock and a determined Demons outfit, final score Demons 12-13-85 to the Wonders 12-9-81. GreatBradScott and Eth were outstanding four quarter contributors for the home side and they were ably supported by cats2rise and doggies ftw. For the defeated Wonders none were better than Frothies McVeigh, croweater_41 and Shaun Duggan. Those three were instrumental in keeping their team in the game and could feel aggrieved that they walked away with nothing to show for it.

Vote Predictions -

3 - GreatBradScott
2 - Eth
1 - croweater_41

Third match of the round took us to Dragon Island where the hosts dished out a 74 point hiding to the struggling Roys. In what was quite a strange game the Roys actually held the lead at quarter time and were only six points down at the main break, however the second half was all Dragons as they piled on 12-2 to the Roys woeful 6 behinds. The Dragons announced to the rest of the competition that they are the real deal and would show no mercy for the remainder of the season whilst the Roys simply ran up the white flag in an insipid display that left their fans fuming. In a red hot Dragons side trying to find standouts was difficult however Moondog21 and WishinAintGettin were fantastic all day and clearly dominated the midfield, Easty was also productive accumulating stats at will. For the Roys it was a different story, the only two players that could hold their heads up and say that they had a crack were Freakie and Fat Pizza, the rest were woeful.

Vote Predictions -

3 - WishinAintGettin
2 - Moondog21
1 - Easty

The final match of the round took us to Punt Road for yet another Furies / Bombers bloodfest. These two sides always go at each other hard and this game was no exception. There was nothing in it all day as both sides traded blows like a couple of prize fighters but at the end of the day it was to be the Furies who prevailed 11-13-79 to the gallant Bombers 11-6-72. Both sets of fans could walk away from this clash proud of their team's performance. The Furies were very even across the park with contributors on every line, Grockadoc was outstanding on a wing and mcuzzy's 3 goals off a half forward flank was instrumental in keeping his team in front. For the Bombers Bomber Bears, Gee Dub and saintkildaman never stopped trying and kept their team in the match with their tireless efforts.

Vote Predictions -

3 - Grockadoc
2 - Gee Dub
1 - Bomber Bears
