An imbalance of positively and negatively charged molecules*

* You said you didn't want to talk to a scientist, not that you didn't want a scientific response :D

Why is Rattata so strong?
There i am minding my own buisness walking from pallet town to viridian to run an errand for Oak when this wild cave man looking youngster jumps out of the bushes. I had a feeling it was youngster Joey. Shame he found his way to the Kanto region - where i had deliberatly moved to to escape this kid. He throws a mis aimed pokeball into the air wich goes on to hit my best mate Ash. This angered me. I threw my lvl 67 nidoqueen in battle and attacked this idiot kid. The mis aimed pokeball contained a deafening screech which i feared. I knew i had to fight a Rattata. Quick attack about 5 times before i could hit back with my Earthquake move. My Earthquake move missed, somehow, and i stressed. Knowing my loss was probable i hurled abuse at youngster joey, screaming how i dont like him and i gave his phone number to people at the Mars Bar in Adelaide when he wouldnt stop ringing me. I quickly got my Master Ball out and threw at this Rattata. I caught it and ran.

Running back to y house in Pallet, a team rocket member offered me a job for them. I accepted. I was in Safron city when i met Giavanni. I used my rattata on him. I used Hyper fang on his feeble Nidoking and the team rocket industry was mine. Then, waiting around in Safron in the TR hq, i encountered my best friend-ASH. He was not happy with my change in personality. I then pushed him over a small cliff, probs no higer than 1 metre, which he could never return without going the long way. Pleased with my move, i fled to Johnto vis the SS Anne.....:thumbsu:

So y is it so strong?
haha winning

in the worst case possible with these japanese nuclear plants, like they just totally explode worse than Chernobyl, will radiation make it down to aus? or the wind doesnt blow this way?

was looking up stupid shit on internet as i tend to do at this time of night a few weeks back and discovered that 2000 was unique because it was as a leap year on the turn of the century.

we have leap years every 4 years except on the 100th year, but this rule isn't adhered to on the 400th year.

so 1500, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200, 2300, 2500 are not leap years despite being divisible by 4.

but 1600, 2000, 2400 are leap years (known as century leap years as opposed to regular leap years)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_leap_year

so if any of you live to the year 2100 you will be thankful i gave you 89 years advanced warning that you're not going to get a leap year despite the olympics being on at some point that year.

Holland/Netherlands/Dutch - why all the different names ?

Even the great George Costanza gets confused by this.

It's really just the two names Holland and Netherlands.

Dutch is what you call the people or use as an adjective for anything from the country, you don't actually say, "I'm going to Dutch in January".

Holland is actually a region within Netherlands but it commonly used as a term for the country as a whole, so if you want to be accurate, Netherlands is the more appropriate term for referrig to their nation.

The Netherlands is the proper name for the country. Holland is the name for the western part of the country (now days it's two provinces, North Holland and South Holland) that was historically the richest and most important part of the Netherlands and was the centre of most foreign trade, so Holland became a common (but unofficial) way of referring to the whole country of the Netherlands.

The word Dutch is derived from the Diets language that was spoken there in the middle ages.

Say I found somebody who would do my job for me but I would only pay them half as much as I got paid to do the job (they're not the brightest). Would I be able to do this as they would be an employee of mine?

Would be a little moment of win as I would be getting paid to do nothing.
