Will try and get to the Perth games although they're not away games for me!
I don't want to dig up any bad memories for anyone, but the Perth game last year vs West Coast would have been an enormous challenge.

The first game (it was only the 3rd or 4th game of the season anyway) after the Boston Marathon Bombing was extremely difficult but the support the city received was fantastic.

Please don't think I'm comparing the 2 as the city of Adelaide and the Adelaide Crows would have been doing it very thought for a long time.

Carltank at the G for the second time in two seasons. Now that the footy trip curse is lifted looking forward to a big win.
Maybe another Melbourne final as well.
Anzac day for the Hawks match would be good as well.

What happened in 2006?
Seriously brings tears to my eyes every time and I didn't even like soccer before that world cup.

To summarise; we weren't meant to make it, then we were meant to be rubbish but we were awesome, then we were robbed.

Trying to get tickets for the WC game in June that went on sale this morning. Nothing is ever easy.

No luck on the Ticketmaster website, told me no seats available - not even single tickets. Thought this couldn't be right so popped down to the Ticketmaster outlet at Mile End (netball stadium), no sorry that game wasn't even on her system. I showed her the ticketmaster website that I had up on my phone which said they were on sale.

Has anyone bought tickets for this game or tickets there in previous seasons?

Rang the AFC, they were their usual helpful self, no we can't help you.

Does the AFC receive an allocation for their members who want to attend interstate games?
"Yes we receive an allocation but they are not to sell to our members. You need to go through Ticketmaster."

I got 2 seats eventually this morning.

Was clicking on seats for ages. There was 3 at the end of a row - I only needed 2 - and the system was not letting me choose because I was leaving a single seat.

Eventually the Pick For Me got me 2 - front row.

Well done Bacon, was it saying "sorry no tickets available" to start with and you kept trying?

I was on 5 minutes after they went on sale and had no luck.

Yes, I kept trying again on the No Tickets.

After a while, the "i'm not a robot" changed to bring up photos that I had to click. Worked after that.

Just called Ticketmaster, NOT ONE TICKET LEFT.

FFS, apparently the Eagles members had time to purchase more tickets before they went on sale and it is completely sold out. Bacon you were damn lucky.

I thought all grounds were required to hold so many thousand game day tickets so the whole stadium wasn't sold out to season ticket holders - does this just apply to AO.

Absolute bullshit that an AFC member cannot buy tickets to an away game the morning they went on sale.

Staying the week in melb and going to the Dees/Carltank blockbusters.

No mishaps please AFC!
I'm looking at doing the same thing. Just need to get the annual leave approved.

I've booked for Round 1, driving over on Good Friday and driving home on Easter Sunday. I must say, I'm a little worried about things being closed on the way to Melbourne and in Melbourne itself - don't want to end up with crappy Macccas for tea.

I've also booked for Round 7 vs the Dogs.

Not a whole lot of stuff will be open on Good Friday in Melbourne, but not everything will be closed.

We did the medallion club in Etihad last year for the essendon game. The view, lunch and the unlimited drinks package were awesome! As was our hiding of the bombers.

Can get cheap medallion club seats off ebay would recommend.

Moved over to enemy territory last year so stoked with all the Victorian games. I'll miss the Richmond one but will likely hit up the rest and give the locals a taste of south Australian heckling
welcome :thumbsu: the more of us the better!

going to all the vic games except the geelong and Premiershipmond games. first game of footy for the year clashes with the Richmond game

Does anyone know how this reciprocal rights to 40 MCG games thing works? Over in Melbourne for this weekend coming up and lets just say me and my mates wanted to attend Demons vs GWS, does that mean we can get in for free?
