Swann's radio spot made a big deal about the white Away kit the other day. Since then several have come out of the woodwork and said how much they hate it. At the time it was announced I thought it got a favourable reception - especially considering how bad it could have been (think Essendon's).

My only problem with it is that we've hardly had a win in it - not that the original jumper has fared much better.

Let's put it to the test.

I voted for Navy blue jumper for every week as the best possible scenario.

However, if we HAVE to have an away strip I'm more than happy with the white one :thumbsu:

Although I do think Carlton's away strip is the best lloking one around, I also think they should get rid of it, everytime we wear that jumper we play horrible and I dont really wanna watch it, Just get rid of it already!

Don't think it is the colour of the jumper's fault!

I think we should keep th clash jumper, but only use it when necissary.

I mean, the clash geurnsey vs. Fremantle? How does navy blue clash with purple?

you would be suprised, our local team here are the dockers and there are two teams in the comp that wear navy blue and when the local club used to play theses navy blue teams (they wear the freo white tops for these games now), from back on it was very hard to pick out who was who.

as for our nice white one, only for clashes. is serves its purpose a couple of times a year.

WE ARE THE NAVY BLUES.

We can wear white shorts, have striped sox, there are ways to differentiate without compromising our traditional jumper.

Remember it was Smorgon and the dysfunctional board at the time that introduced this disaster, that initself is sufficient reason to never wear it again.

Unfortunately, given how we have been in recent years that argument could also be used for us not to wear our traditional jumpers also.

I voted for the old DARK NAVY every week.

If all these other mobs would stop piss farting around with their colors and designs we wouldnt need clash jumpers.
They should all go back to their traditional jumpers.

:thumbsu:

Our clash strip is the best of the clash strips, and probably as good a clash strip as we could have BUT i've voted navy blue only coz i'm a bit of a traditionalist and it's the reason i started barracking for the club when i was about 8 years old.

Somehow our players managed to recognise their teammates for over 100 years, and the whole "hard to tell from behind" thing is irrelevant.

The whole clash jumper thing is a merchandising wank. I actually have respect for the filth's refusal to get involved.

Tell em to get stuffed Swanny.

Original NAVY BLUE for every game except for away games versus melbourne. That's it i think. I do believe everyone should have a away clash strip, only if they clash, if not traditional jumpers all the way...

I think that if you're going to have an away strip which is different to the home strip (unlike ours or Richmond's), you could do a lot worse than your's.

In fact yours and the Bulldogs' are pretty good, but should only be used in absolutely blatant clashes (i.e. Melbourne and possibly us).

It's not our away strip.

Embrace the guernsey, because its never going to go away now, and it looks brilliant... all clubs will have a permanent one in 5 years or less, and the one you have is the best going around, and will make the club merchandising money...
