melbourne (saints)
it was not that long ago that we would play at the scg and win every time. now your blokes are paying back the favour with 4 wins in a row against us at our home ground. this worrying trend will end at four this week.

an encouraging performance last week with a change of game plan, a more youthfull and better balanced team selected this week combined with the motivation of a club legend playing his 300th game, all factors are pointing to a saints win.

We've never forgiven Peter Everitt for his gormless taunting of us at the SCG Round 11, 1998.

You killed us by 104 points that night and Everitt rubbed it in by twirling the ball on his finger Harlem Globetrotter style.

For every game against StK since, all Eade has to do his play back the tape from that Black and Dirty Night and thats all the motivation we ever need.

I agree StL, its going to be an intriguing scrap between two teams down on confidence at the moment.

Can't believe you guys dropped Capuano from a squad that is already short of tall defenders ? - Bizarre to say the least, especially with our Best Ruckman (Stafford) back in the team.

I feel you may live to regret that.

I hope it is as good a game as Round 1 last year, which was a ripper of a game.

However I feel it will be close, tense but also scrappy and error-riddled.

I don't wanna predict a result but naturally I think my team has slightly better form and we have so far won all our games at Colonial Stadium.

cheers
