Danger in Texas
Drugs Are Bad Mackay?
It's gonna have to be donuts for me Scorpus, extremely sorry but have had RL commitments that have kept me from being able to do this.
What's the record for the most no-voters in single comp?
There has certainly been a fair few people here who couldn't get the voting done within 26 days
Well the deadline is up. 7 people voted, 13 people did not and they will receive 0.
I'll post the results later
It literally takes 30mins to do. But we left it too late this year
No it doesn't
WINNER BY VOTING
Unfortunately there was a disappointing turn out this year for the draft game voting. Only 7 competitors submitted their votes by the extended deadline, while 13 players failed to do so. As such, there are 13 players who have automatically received a zero for this section.
I want to thank the six other posters who went to the time to vote this year. It would have been a disaster if no one bothered to vote but at least there were enough people participating to get a decent result here.
So without further ado, I would like to present the winner by voting for the Awesome 2016/2017 Draft Game to...
PUSHING THE LIMIT - DANOZ
The full votes breakdown is as follows:
#1 Pushing The Limit (Danoz) - 51.50
#2 David Noble's Noble Davids (Scorpus) - 48.17
#3 Faith FC (FAITH) - 47.08
#4 The Tune Squad (Mr MysteryGuest) - 46.83
#5 Spotted Dick Picks (Maggsy) - 46.33
#6 The Harambabes (billy fragos) - 46.25
#7 The Excusables (AdelaideFan14) - 44.75

Sorry guys, I saved a reminder to do it tonight, I thought we had until this weekend for some reason!
I can do mine this afternoon though, sorry it's late. Understand if that's too late now though.
Sorry, I randomly had a work trip occur and couldn't do it.
And as IF SHAUN ATLEY didn't win.
Well done Danoz!
& nice work Scorpus for keeping it rolling.
Apologies for not getting my votes in
Plus I promised Hank93 that I'd fudge his votes for him, based on mine. So I should get a double zero really.
I will do mine at some stage... Hopefully an interesting comparison to the final standings
Wow that's bizarre, I was really unhappy with my team this game.
Best value picks - Rounds 1 to 10

51 Snortin Swine - Toby Greene (GWS Giants) - Gun year despite suspension
53 The Tune Squad - Jack Viney (Melbourne) - Hardest player in the comp
60 David Nobles Noble Davids - Tom Rockliff (Brisbane) - Value for money here! How long is he out for though? Perhaps an * by this one

64 The Organic Growths - Joe Daniher (Essendon) - Will go top 5 next season
69 Putins Heroes - Michael Hurley (Essendon) - Will be an AA defender I reckon
89 Conor McGregor - Ollie Wines (Port Adelaide) - He's a fatso but a gun
94 The Non Statisticals - Tom Scully (GWS Giants) - He runs a lot if you haven't heard
95 The Tune Squad - Josh Kelly (GWS Giants) - subject of an all out bidding war
97 Average Joes - Rory Laird (Adelaide) - A definite for AA squad
103 Pushing the Limit - Michael Walters (Fremantle) - Move to the midfield has uncovered a star!

189 The Organic Growths (Drugs Are Bad Mackay?) - Christian Petracca (Melbourne) - I'm in love with this pick. The one I got right.
193 David Nobles Noble Davids (Scorpus) - Mark LeCras (West Coast) - Thought he was fading but he's been good
197 The Spotted Dick Picks (Maggsy) - Callum Mills (Sydney) - Sydney's next captain IMO
200 The Tune Squad (Mr Mystery Guest) - Rory Atkins (Adelaide) - Playing well despite the hair
Gee, my team has been destroyed by injuries and suspensions
Looks like my best 22 is getting a lot of games, except for Brayshaw and Lycett. At least I knew Lycett would be gone for half a season
My Stinkiest Picks
Rnd 7 Pick 147 - Tom Barrass (West Coast)
Thought he'd be going much better than he is. Not even a definite inclusion in their 22.
Rnd 8 Pick 148 - Jacob Weitering (Catlton)
Thought he'd be killing it down back. Instead is trying to learn the forward line caper and doing stuff all.
Rnd 12 Pick 232 - Allen Christensen (Brisbane)
Rnd 13 Pick 273 - Jacob Hopper (GWS)
Season never really got started now out with a broken finger I think
Rnd 15 Pick 315 - Jonathon Giles (West Coast)
Hadn't taken a ruck by this stage and was desperate. Thought Nankervis would slide. He didn't and I was stuck with a lemon.
Rnd 18 Pick 358 - Fletcher Roberts (Western Bulldogs)
Rnd 19 Pick 399 - Rhys Mathieson (Brisbane)
Not playing regularly
Rnd 20 Pick 400 - Sam Wright (North Melbourne)
Is he playing? Haven't heard his name once this season.
Rnd 22 Pick 442 - Jackson Merrett (Essendon)
Again - is this guy playing?
Rnd 23 Pick 483 - Archie Smith (Brisbane)
Missing out on Nankervis meant I needed to roll the dice on several back up ruck options. This was strike two.
Rnd 25 Pick 525 - Ivan Maric (Richmond)
And strike three.
Happy enough with my effort.
Ballantyne injured again, would be playing.
Knight best 22 just injured. Should be back. Hampton injured now too.
Stanton no good.
Cloke servicable but not ideal.
But for injury only real spuds are Stanton and Cloke and at least getting games.
My favourite picks are Ablett, Yeo, Murphy, Menzel, Mitchell.
Well, I haven't forgotten about this game!
I'm in the process of entering in the relevant data for every player in the competition that was drafted. Obviously the final score cannot be calculated until after the B&F for every team later this year.
However I can reveal the teams that, collectively, managed to get as many players on the park as possible. Here is the leaderboard sorted by games played:
Games played will be a massive factor in the final score as no team got even close to the maximum possible games for a 22 player team (484 games)
Some interesting things to note here:
Danoz, who won the competition by voting, selected a lot of players that simply didn't get games. Howlett, Dea, Laverde, Miles, Black, Bennell, Frost, Thompson, Collins, Jacobs all played fewer than 10 games, which stung badly. Top players like Gawn (14), Hanley (13) and Walters (17) playing less than a full season isn't ideal
DIY Brain Surgery in a similar position. Selections of Mayne, Vickery, Varcoe, Sandilands, Jong, Wellingham didn't pay off.
The five teams with 400 or more games played all had at least 9 players play 20+ games and nearly the entire top 22 play double digit games.
However, the top teams for games played had very few players in the All Australian squad
Elliott Yeo with Pick 218 was the latest pick to make the All Australian team
Tom Boyd and Jesse Hogan were poor first round picks due to the number of games played
Danger in Texas
Drugs Are Bad Mackay?
Wowee what a shockingly bad team. I should easily come dead last.
