Just a query before I pick - what were the rules for the balance of KPFs and rucks that you can have?
Two rucks, two KPFs
One ruck, one ruck forward, two KPFs
One ruck, one ruck forward, one KPF, one third tall

Essentially you need two players who can ruck, and two players who can play tall forward. You also still need five forwards

Quick Review of everyone's best and worst so as to not praise some teams too much nor pick on others.

Guns and Rookies (hendo8888 ).
Best: 127 Marc Murphy. Potential steal if he gets his body right, he was well entrenched in my top 100 and was on standy-by over the next 50-60 picks hoping he would stay hidden.
Worst: 43 Josh Jenkins. Probably 50-60 picks too high. Good player but not a top 50 player. Understand key forwards hard to get in this draft but there were likely better options here.

DIY Brain Surgery (Coopers )
Best: 167 Shaun Higgins. If he's fit he is close to AA. Good pick and had him higher.
Worst: 41 Travis Boak. Too high. Slowing down remarkably.

The Excusables (AdelaideFan14 )
Best: 129 Ben Cunnington. Solid pick that you can bank on at this selection.
Worst: 124 Ben Brown. Too high, not 124 quality.

Snortin Swine (Hank93 )
Best: 135 Zac Williams. Potential AA at 135 is good going.
Worst: 118 Liam Picken. Great finals series but feel he is overrated at 118.

Conor McGregor (Jcpdragonx )
Best: 173 Jack Watts. Could be a top 100 player if he continues on.
Worst: 122 Matthew Kreuzer. Way too high. Barely a ruckman or a forward.

The Non Statisticals (Danger Zone )
Best: 94 Tom Scully. Could be an elite player come the end of the year.. ie top 15-20 player.
Worst: 117 Shaun Burgoyne. End will come quickly now and lucky to be this high.

Pohokemon (roo2macca )
Best: 37 Zach Merritt. Quality player on the rise who should benefit with more quality around him.
Worst: 205 Ryan Bastinac. Dead average player.

The Tune Squad (Mr MysteryGuest )
Best: 95 Josh Kelly. Similar to Scully on track to being elite pretty quickly. On this note.. **** the AFL. Scully, Ward, Kelly, Shiel, Coniglio, Whitfield..
Worst: 158 Mitch McGovern. Too high at this stage of his career. Who knows in two years time.

The Harambabes (billy fragos )
Best: 49. Steven May. Could be AA so good pick.
Worst: 204 Marcus Adams. Too high for someone who has played less than half a season and yet to be seen if it was just the Dogs carrying him.

The Left Overs (Allefgib )
Best: 31 Callan Ward. Solid pick for 31. Very good player without being elite fits 31.
Worst: 157 Kyle Hartigan. Good player but probably 50 picks too high.

Putins Heroes (Daniel1812 )
Best: 111 David Mundy. Solid pick and a solid player.
Worst: 195 Matthew Leunberger. Too high.. bit of a spud really. Guess he will get a game.

Average Joes (Danger in Texas )
Best: 114 Lachie Hunter. Value pick here and another who was a large reason why the dogs excelled.
Worst: 156 Jake lever. Too high in a draft of non crows supporters would be lucky to go top 250.

Wasleys United (adelaidecrows )
best: 155 Michael Hibberd. Smart pick at 155. Solid player.
worst: 110 James Sicily. Could have gotten him at 300.

FAITH FC FAITH
Best: 154 Grant Birchall. Very good player.. wouldve taken him around 110 so small barj-A
Worst: 183 Jobe Watson. Had to be talked into playing on.. could be a pretty average year for Jobe.

The Spotted Dicks Maggsy
Best: 194 kade kolodjashnij. Gun player and had him around 110 as well. Good pick.
Worst: 68 Jack Darling. Too high for Jack.. probably a 150 ranked player.

David Nobles Noble Davids Scorpus
Best: 151 Jack Hombsch. Screw you Scorpus. Had him set for my backline and you ruined everything. Great pick.
Worst: 186. Josh Caddy. Dont rate at all. Disposal isnt AFL quality.

Pushing the Limit Danoz
Best: 103 Michael Walters. Always a quality pick in this draft. Shouldve gone around 80.
Worst: 61 Justin Westhoff. Too high but a fair way. Probably shouldve gone 150.

The Intergalatic Weiners Kristof
Best: 107 Jason Johanissen. Could be a gem of a pick and end up AA.
Worst: 191 Ben Reid. Preseason articles I read dont seem promising and expect an interrupted season hence I was put off otherwise he is a quality player. Just wouldnt take the risk on him this high.

The Organic Growths Drugs Are Bad Mackay?
Best: 190 Jack Crisp. Top 150 player so good get at 190.
Worst: 148 Jacob Weitering. Too high for me. Could have gotten him at 200 plus I think.
Shhhh ;) I needed a ruckman haha

deaneus's unofficially official notes on the game so far, up to the end of Round 10

Best Value pick
Lewis at #102 - aye carumba, isn't he instantly Melbourne's best player?

Notable picks
Grundy at #23 - feels really early. But the upside is there.
GAJ at #29 - could be a great pick. Has time wearied him? Is he using analgesics yet? Hmmm.
Boak at #41 - when Coniglio and Gaff are still on the board... that's too early.
Jenkins at #43 - early, but i get that it's a KPF thing. I'd have thought in the 60s.
Gibbs at #96 - where would he have gone, if we'd picked him up in the trade period?
Sicily at #110 - no. try again in about three year's time. taken ahead of Burgoyne? yikes.
Deledio at #138 - interesting. will he fade away or become a decent player? tough one but a good pick for the risk.
Aliir at #159 - i think that's what's called an aspirational pick.
Robinson at #182 - great pick, excellent pick.
Watson at #183 - another great pick, all things considered. Getting a Brownlow medallist at 183! Oh wait, no you didn't ;)

Does that also work with key back? In case I end up with another ruck and use Roughead as a backman?

Think the picking has to be different this year with so many extra competitors.

By pick 210 last year you would have filled your quotas for every position.

This year you get to pick 200 and you still might need an extra KPD and KPF, so you reach before you're left with zilch.

In some cases some players were picked well above actual value purely out of the trend of picks. Ive noticed this game several times has jumped into feeding frenzies of certain types of players as people get worried about missing out.

Might go for some young talent. I see him as a KPF, but even if he isn't, he is definitely a 3rd tall anyway. I reckon he'll absolutely break out next year with a free injury run.

Give me Mason Wood.

adelaidecrows?
****!

Wanted him at my next pick
