I've been watching out through the window for the last 15 minutes, and have watched the Police do a fantastic job.

I don't know my next door neighbours - they're never home. But tonight we saw two police cars, and three camouflaged ones sit outside this house. Two officers stood at the door and knocked, and after about 3 minutes, they broke it down. After a while all the officers are in there, and then out comes an officer carrying a 'bong', and a few more carrying bags of what is probably weed. Then they bring out two Asian people - a man and a woman, chuck them in the car, and they're all gone like that.

Makes me feel pretty cool that those mysterious neighbours were druggos. :p
 
well, it makes me sick to know people are being treated like this over a harmless plant.

**** you flogs should realise weed is the biggest cause of problems in the drug industry and with law enforcement. More people do ity and many move on to other more harful drugs like smack and ice/meth.

Do you have any proof of this or are you just mindlessly regurgitating the propaganda of the morally outraged? I've smoked pot for more than 20 years, never had a desire to become a smack or meth head. Plenty of people I know likewise. My only problem with pot is kids smoking it before their brains have developed properly.
Get off your high horse d*ckhead.

lol you sound like a politician

weed barely causes any problems, especially when you compare it to alcohol and cigarettes. around 1% of marijuana users go on to harder drugs like heroin and meth, so your gateway theory is a load of bollocks.

I've smoked for years and I have never considered getting on the smack or anything.

The irony of this post. You have a problem with the use of the drug by a certain class of individuals but you support its consumption and use.

The fact is that worldwide research has shown that people who use other drugs have done so after smoking grass. There is also research to prove your statement that you have never touched other drugs or been compelled or felt like doing it.

Maybe you should read this and realise there is the possibility of this occuring, just like other parties have refuted it.

No wonder though with the scientific evidence in some support of the claims I have made, there is still a case for why the drug won't be legalised and is still policed.

Myth. The reason weed 'hardly causes any problems compared to alcohol and tobacco" is a load of bullshit. The reason is that fewer people consume weed to the fact that it is an illegal drug and thus there is not the widespread effect on the population that ciggs or booze have. It is glaringly obvious that it has major mental health repercussions and I know of two people in their 20s who have ongoing psychological issues directly linked to their regular dope useage.

But is there causation? I think it's safe to assume a crackhead or junkie would also smoke a bit of weed given half a chance, but I doubt the reverse is true.

What people like yourself tend to conveniently forget is that a good deal of dope smokers, like myself, already had ongoing psychological issues before we even knew what weed was.

If anything weed helped me get through and get on top of, decades of chronic depression.

most methheads probably drank milk at some stage before they went onto harder drugs as well

That's not the point. The point is prolonged use and how it leads to other drug usage over time and the greater willingness for people who have used plant to be willing and actually trying other drugs such as whizz, ice, fantasy, smack etc.

Yo champ, I'm willing to bet most smackos started out on booze and alcohol before they started on weed then heroin, too.

Weed is only a massive problem for law enforcement because the criminalisation of it makes it very lucrative for criminals to get involved in, and they receive little help from the community compared to other anti-drug policing, because most recognise it's a stupid law.

Is it a harmless substance? No, no drugs are harmless. It clearly is going to cause the same sort of respiratory problems that tobacco does, plus there's evidence of it exacerbating mental health issues in some individuals who abuse it. But the social damage caused by alcohol is just as great, probably greater
