Heard on the vine, (roxy Pub) that Roxy are in a heap of trouble next year.

No Colaidis (Haddy), Harris (retired?), Mackinnon (Jacana), Naidoo will probably go with Mackinnon, and a few more apparently going to Hadfield could spell quite a bit of trouble next year.

Word is Wiggins requested a decent pay rise and TL could not match what Sunshine will pay him. He also requested to reduce his training and not sure is attitude was the best. Still they now have room to pick up another player to replace. They will be there abouts again.

roxy will lose a few players but have picked up 4 young players who will play ones as for haddy only have to clear 3 max and if contracted dont think they will be going anywhere

couple of people i know play at northern saints....said they have picked up a few roxy guys also.....have signed up. one is mahmoud taleb.....sharkas brother

It was rumoured that Tom Delaney, the ex bnf superstar from Glenroy had left Spotty to go to Tulla next year but being a good mate of mine I thought Id set the record straight. Over a few beers last night, he embarrassingly told me that he has to give up footy next year to pursue a netball career at a higher level. He has been playing mixed netball Wed nights and has been asked to train with the state squad (ladies) in preparation for the national titles in May next year. He told me that his ambition is to play for his country and if he makes the Australian side he will be travelling for a large portion of next footy season. Toms athletic ability and cat-like reflexes on the footy field makes Tom the gun netballer he is. His only concern to me last night was how he was going to fit into the skirts. Apparently they dont have his size and he is very disappointed.

He did give Tulla some hope all the same in saying that if he doesnt make it (which he said was bullshit if he didnt) then he would be happy to come back as a part time water boy and Thursday night cook. He said that if this is the case then it will be a week to week proposition bcos he will have his waxing and beauty business to run.

We all wish him luck which Im sure he doesnt need and am looking forward to getting some free tickets to see the Opals (or whoever they they are).

Bull .... spoke to Wiggins & he expected a pay cut after his 2 year contract was up & Sunshine are no where near what he was on at Taylors Lakes. Not to sure they are going to be there abouts unless they stop the departures & recruit. Not a great deal coming through from 2nds & u18's that will play Seniors 2010 from what i seen last season

The seniors came third the seconds runner's up and the under 18's won the flag. If TL don't have any up and coming players then no-one else in the league does. One player leaving is not all doom and gloom.

2nds didn't make the grand final' so it makes a bit hard to come 2nd
Name the players in the 2nds & u18s 2009 that are going to step up & straight in & play seniors 2010. Also tell us who is going to replace Wiggins, Kalas, Koroneos & who ever else you lose from 2009.

Kalas and Koroneos are not in the top 12-15 players at the club. Koroneos not committed and over weight - last man picked in the final. Two's finished 3rd - sorry.
Plenty of good kids coming through - Fabiano, Xureb, Simon Wesenski,Younan, Tropody, Longo, Andy Crowe, A&D Kantelmi. Taylor back from WestMeadows and Rizzo a former B&F at TL is back from Deer Park. Still not sure how you can say a team that won the under 18's grand final do not have any good players to come through??
 
Some good developing players there,yes but how many of them will step up to seniors 2010 to cover the loses not one all small/medium players. Wiggins kalas koroneos all over 6ft 3". A Crowe & Cantelmi brothers have been in seniors last 2 years. As for Rizzo B+F where. Has been playing shit B grade WRFL & will give you what the other D/Park blokes gave you in the finals (NOTHING)
 
sounds like you got a grudge with TL ocean... have they done something to ya down there ......
 
Not at all, hope they do well. Just asked a few ? after talking with a few supporters on what is going on down there. Can't see how you can lose players like that & think you are going to improve.

Wiggens is the only loss that could hurt TL. Bucky will play the more traditional CHF in 2010. And its only the 1st week of Dec - recruiting is not over for clubs.

As for Crowe and Cantelmi brothers - I raised them because with another year of football they will only be better next year. Not sure B grade EDFL is at a premium level that you can knock other leagues. Which team do you follow? Rizzo won a TL B&F.

Also they don't have to improve all the much - with Oak Park gone 2010 is wide open. Have a go at a ladder for 2010.
 
Rizzo won no B+F at Taylors Lakes, just check there Web site taylorslakesfc.net
I think you will find that Buckets struggled last season & was dropped for many games & played poor in finals & there is no one Res or U18's that will fill that major role. I support Taylors Lakes, thanks for asking.
I will wait until recruiting is done before predicting ladder. Have no idea what other clubs have picked up or lost.
 
wiggins is a big lose no two ways about it... but i think they can spread a bit of the load now with him gone.With bucky cooper dipper down there i still think they will be alright then you got cantelmi s maybe taylor half forwards. they get matty b back from a broken leg so hopefully not all doom and gloom still early... i know alot of the boys down there watch alot of games..
