Pretty crap that you ferals have bitched to the mods to get rid of CC, he's kept this board moving with great banter whilst I've been having a break. Hopefully Cardio is only red carded for a week, so my question to the Hampton lads is what was the outcome of the PM CC fired at you?
I will happily say on here that they went after big Heath and were knocked back, and others like Radders wanted the gig but didnt get an interview.
Is there any chance the HR President posts on here?

1.i am not uncle mick.

2. i had nothing to do with cardio being red carded. though i can understand it as whenever he's challenged he name calls - flog, moron, thugs etc and is regularly telling people to piss off and in my case threatening i wouldn't be around too long. and his misuse of cubzy's name was offensive to women.

3. he did p.m me with 3 names he claims were h.r coaching applicants. none were highly credentialled as he indicated and 2 were wrong according to my info.

4. also in my inbox was an abusive p.m from a 'newbie' caled 'letterman'. wonder who that might be. anyway i'm still thinking about whether to publish it to show what scum that person is.

5 it's a red card not a life sentence. maybe it will make him realise that he doesn't run this board and that bullying and abuse don't pay off

OAFC tonight have appointed Michael Oaten as senior coach after 6 years in charge of the U/19's, good choice and time to move on.
With the Junior programs that Ormond, Hampton and Oakleigh have it won't be too long before the Cardio's of this forum eat their words.
Great board this year with OTP's tipping comp and robust debate from all , just a shame that one poster had to lower the standard of the board right at the very end.

Pleased to see Oats get it. He’s done a magnificent job with the U19s. My understanding is he’d previously been reluctant to take on the senior role. I’m chuffed he’s decided to give it ago.

michael oaten use to cut my folks lawns. the cupla times i met him he seemed rather quiet type, not what you'd expect from a coach. but he's got the runs on the board with a few granny appearances with the unders and at least one flag.

if i was being cheeky i might suggest one consideration with his appointment might have been that he's coached most of the youngies and he might stop a leakage of players to the rovers.

good luck to him. the more successful the district clubs the better.

The one thing I omitted to say when congratulating Michael Oaten was to mention Barney. It’s sad he only had two years at the Monders as coach. He’s an Ormond legend and I hope when the dust settles he’ll be back in some capacity or other.

I think you will find that a lot of the Hampton boys were educated at private schools not government tech schools.

i was going to let briza's cheap shot go through to the keeper but seeing you've picked it up, there are 2 points about it.

1. the reality is the 2 schools that finish at the top of the academic tree nearly every year are government schools- melb high & macrob. but hey, let's not spoil a good tale with the facts.

2. let's remember guys the great briza is a product of a private school, though not a top one. says a lot, huh!!!!

I was only taking the piss, my lovely wife is a proud MacRob old girl. SKC I believe is the top performing Private school in Victoria but we wont get into a silly debate. Play on lads!
