You are aware that OTs home ground is the biggest in the entire VAFA competition aren't you?

Odd reasoning in my view.

OTs by 4 goals, OMs by 6. :thumbsu:

I am aware boys...strangely enough but the Snake pit aint small either and your home ground doesnt necessary suit the team. St Bernards would love to play their finals at Artic Park is possible just reckon they are a small young running team who if they click into gear might be able to keep the ball away from Rambo and Co. Ps the wings at Box Hill are much much wider. PPs No way Marles is bigger than Como.

St Bernards are heading towards A Section and another A Section flag within the next 5 years but will have to spend another year in B first.
OT are on the way out so St B to win by 25 points.

Im not one for superstar big name recruits, I have learned the hard way that they very rarely deliver. Think M Graham, S McKee, N Brown, D Byrne, D Spriggs etc, except for Voss. As such Im sticking with the home grown VAFA lads at SKOB to win their way back into A 'Grade'. SKOB by 10 points.
By my count Brian, 19 of last week's OMs firsts were old MGS boys. Two weeks ago it was 21 of 22. Doesn't get much more home grown than that.

Nevertheless it should be a very tight game between OMs and SKOBs this Sunday. I expect the result to be within two goals either way. OMs to get over the line just.

On current form, you'd have to go for OT's over St. Bernards.

You mean the soon to be announced "Widdop Towers Sporting Club"

as 95% of HR come from there.

Obviously looking for a bite but as already mentioned, boring banter. It's been said before and there isn't a player at the club that i know of from the "Widdop Towers" or any other surrounding towers. In saying that, if there was i certainly wouldn't have a problem with it.

If that is what you actually think about us, then i think you'd be in for a serious shock if you came down to the club and saw where we all come from.

Bernards also beat Trinity at Marles.....odd?! I think not.

dont know how you could call that, OT's got beaten pretty comfortably by Carey didnt they.

Its going to be a cracker between old foes.

Are you serious Chris? In the past five weeks St Bernards have won one game - against Hampton Rovers who avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth. During this time they were beaten by Uni Blacks by 23 goals (outside the four) and Haileybury (outside the four). They also lost to Skevs and OM's.

On the other hand Trinity in the past four weeks have beaten OM's, Uni Blacks and Ormond by 100 points. Pretty different form lines for mine.

Wouldn't read too much into the results from round 18. The only teams that had anything to play for were Skevs and St Bernards. St Bernards lost.

Don't want to question your credibility as a contributor, but Bernards have gotten off pretty lightly on this forum in the past month. Don't try to pull the wool over our eyes!

Fair enough i take some of your point, but im not sure where your coming from with getting off lightly on this forum, im fairly certain our form throughout the season has at times been as good as anyones and people respect that.

Our form of late however has been pretty avg, there is no doubting that, but OM's we got done by 2 points, haileybury was a similar margin. Uni Blacks was... well better left unsaid (one of those days) and we also beat Hampton & Ormond but by 148 points. Last week was a mini final and Skevvies playd the ground better. Bigger more spacious grounds will be where we find our legs.

If it means so much to you we'll take the underdog status. Looking forward to the game.

Rd 11 v. Camberwell was your 148 point win, shags.

Rd 13 v. Ormond - 93 point win.
Rd 14 v. OMs - 5 point loss.
Rd 15 v. HR - 23 point win.
Rd 16 v. UB - 135 point loss.
Rd 17 v. OH - 4 point loss.
Rd 18 v. SKOB - 30 point loss.

2 wins in your last 6 games (or 1 in 5) is hardly convincing form when those wins came against 8th & 9th place. Sugar coat those stats however you like. The snowcats will be on their Mad Monday next week.

Line ball MIO.

I paced out Como last season before Fitzroy played there out of interest and arrived at dimensions of 167 long and 134 wide. Daley Oval is 165 long but 140 wide. Como appears larger due to its "inverted saucer" appearance (i.e. the middle is a couple of metres higher than the boundaries to allow for water run-off from the centre area).

I know, sad super-nerd effort, which probably deserves a slap behind the head. :D

In any event, they're both massive decks!

Fair enough...still believe that the snowdogs are much more suited to a large oval but I guess who knows. If the Ts midfield can break even then they will win. St Bernards Backs will not be able to hold Rambo, Healy & AC.

I wasn't talking about the players!

Otherwise known as the Hampton East Hotel.

Year of the Wind continues......

2nd Semi
No surprises here reckon SKOB can get over OMs. On pure facts both are 1-1during the year and both ended 13-5. OMs though have the obvious quality at the top so if we can restrict a couple of those I reckon we are a massive show.

1st Semi
Very tough one to tip - Bernies coming off a bad month in win/loss ratio terms and OTs doing enough to sneak into 4th after losing to Carey. OTs obvious strength is their height, this may force Caven to play a bit more accountable than zoning off and helping others out. PS - He should of been in the Team of the Year - easily the best marking back in the comp. Bernies dont seem to tag either which is dangerous with BI running around as he only needs 10 mins to cut you apart. Where is Mitchell? Bernies need another scoring option. Bernies are quick and surely gained some experience from last years finals.Their record against OTs is 2-0 but this is when they were up and running. In saying all that I have a slight leaning towards OT.

Agree & Disagree with you there UM - St. B's will definitely lose, but doubt they'll have a Mad Monday because they aren't mates.

There will be tumble weeds down at the dormant volcano they call their footy ground.

dont mind melb high boys coming up, thought they were on the rise when we played them last.. oakleigh however, I dont have a nice thing to say about them. The only good thing about them coming up would be if they went 0-18. fingers crossed.
