What an absoulute wank the B Section votes are. Rambo has put OT into A Section off his own boot yet only gets 6 votes? Mick Gino put SKOB into second with 60 goals yet gets 2 votes for the year?
The umpires are muppets with no idea. Dowd had an average year yet got more votes than Simpson and Voss. Iezzi is a good player but even himself admitted he was below par this year and never played on a man, well don ethough.
From what I have seen and heard around the traps the two most influential players this year were CLEARLY Rambo and Voss, so the BrianSpeaking player of the year in B Section goes to Brett Voss and Andrew Ramsden(we dont do count backs).

All votes on VAFA website, OT to win flag, judging by OCam awesome effort in u/19 GF see you all in 2011:D
Mixfish, thanks for the banter this year.
I think you guys are in for a long rebuild but look the goods for a top 6 finish in C Section next year. Your under 19's dominated but lets not forget it was an 8 team comp.
All the best.

Wow - i don't think he has ever been called that b4. After discussions with him over the last 48 hours i think you'll find he IS playing on in 2010, i hope for your sake you are not.

Tutto, perhaps Jodie heard about Luke retiring and couldnt handle him at home?
Great year by the great man, 2010 WILL be SKOBs year, I hear some rumblings in the waves down here by the beach that some much needed tall timber has been cultivated and will appear at SKC for pre season which I believe starts in 4 weeks time!

I think Iezzi probably deserved the win last night. Would have also accepted Voss or Jordan but did have a good year and is geniunly in the top 5 players in B grade.
As for Ramsdem and Giansiracusa, forwards rarely poll well compared to midfielders. Just the way it goes in the VAFA and AFL. Top 12 or so being midefielders probably tells u something brian

Very surprised with my tip Freezer (OM). Saw him 3 times this year and only picked up 2 votes. He was clearly best against SKOB in 1st round and always up there.

Dowd and Voss result also strange, but well done to the leader, and Fletcher from HR who polled well for a bottom side running 2nd

SKOB played Carey in the first round CC but interesting thoughts......Dowd is a star and was clearly BOG in many games I saw him. Trinity at home and Carey twice spring to mind.

Obviously a terrible September but did win 13 games during the year.

Umpires votes are certainly interesting and sometimes greatly different to clubs perspectives. Last year our B&F winner didn't register a vote in the league count! (and he won ours by a large margin) And our favorite for this year (R.Semmel) only got 3 or 4 votes this year!.. Certianly not taking away from the top vote getters, all stars of the comp. WELL DONE FLETCH, well deserved 2nd place. :thumbsu:

No probs CC have loved your work this year.

On that note Ill sign off for 2009. Trinity to win and Iezzi to star.

Cheers MIO, broke some stories, gave a few however cop a few to the head but at least we kept the thread vibrant.

Love to see one of the best blokes in VAFA finish of a great year and win the premiership.

Mick 'Gilligan' Lovejoy took OM's over mid last year from the Flea with the joint in disarray to invigorate them late season. Start of this year he and the Club brought in some good players and support staff necessary to get the job done and it has paid dividends.

OT have done a great job coming from fourth and a win for them would be well deserved as well - should be a great game played in terrific spirit as expected from both these highly respected clubs.

OM vs OT (3-4 goals)

Don't you have a life Brian? Surfing the net at 4:43 in the morning.

Having played neither side this season and wont get to next year i can only go by results & ladder position.

Old Melbourne by 8 goals.

brian, you act like people actually care about what you think...

Even though Old Trinity have done well to get this far, however I think Old Melburnians will win.

Old Melburnians by 62 points.

Well you read it you flog and even funnier, you bothered to reply. I hope your folks didnt mortgage their house to send you to BGS.

What we would have liked to have heard from UH was the demise of OB this year, coach in turmoil after R6 and expected departures of a number of 'expats' from the Beach oval in 2010.

Now that would have been interesting reading, but then again its all about us and not about them.

Has UH posted anything of note since Jan 2008?

OB will be back in B Grade in 2011.

Charlie has been average this year. M Davis to win the medal but OTs to win in an upset.
GO SKOB 10.

We must have been watching different games. Has played very well . Rarely seen him beaten and enjoys the luxury of loose man in defence. Disposal only rivalled by Voss.

Watched Om's vs OT's both times this year:

rd1 out at where-ever in a howler om's kicked 10 in the first 1/4and then just held out OT's - Iezzi starred (the om's coaching staff the only people west of the CBD that did'nt think he needed a hard tag)

R16 (I think) Junction - OT's kicked 10-12 straight OM's approx 8.12 in the first half - lead changed many times in last quarter with OT's saluting - again Iezzi doing what he wanted in accross halfback and rambo etc playing well

Interesting watching the slightly downtrodden OT's coach - interesting style( but clearly effective) work his bench - was more like a light hearted social interlude than an intensive game mangement - hey whatever works.

I am an OM and i knew 3 weeks ago that we would play OT's and it is my worst fear - anyone else and I would be extremely confident

This is going to be a nail biter - hope the wind doesn't stuff it up

Yep! Briza's wrong on 3 counts. Charley's been a real plus people in the know tell me. Davis will only see the medal from a distance. And O.M's by a margin. O.T looked good last week, but Skobs looked second rate. All I can put Briza's poor form down to is that he was tired and emotional when he posted in the wee hours of the morning.;)

Nope, they worked hard to pay for it you gimp.

Maybe you should try the same and hopefully your kids won't end up a flog like yourself sitting up on the internet at 4:35am being an armchair critic, acting like you're a A grade celebrity in the VAFA circles. It's sad when you don't have much else going on in your life isn't it Brian.

Get a life you twerp. Might be hard though seeing as you're halfway through it already.

GET A LIFE.
