Congrats to OM's, too good on the day, but what bunch of w***ers are their supporters a stuck up bunch that lot.

What did everyone think of the weekends results? I reckon the top 3 have almost guaranteed finals while 4th spot is wide open.....Trinity have missed there chance to slam the door shut. Predictions anyone? OH are the side nobody would want to be facing come finals time....however with Loewe missing for the next couple it may hurt.

ps Bedford....what did you expect?

Old Camberwell...seriously WTF???

It was embarrassing and i felt sorry for the blokes that had to play on saturday. Why didnt any of the ex-AFL guys play???

Very even section in B grade to date. Not sure why the ammos didn't implement a points system for ex AFL/VFL players, which they do in certain paid leagues. I think it is great that we have ex AFL/VFL players playing and it will only make our competition stronger, however to have 5 ex AFL players in one team trying to elevate them to A grade seems to be over the top and potentially not what the Ammo's is all about. Seems Haileybury are two teams - when the ammo's are playing they find it hard to get a win and when they bring in there AFL team they are hard to beat!

Chris, the word is they knew they wouldn't beat you guys so they rested all of their better players to load up for their next three games. They think that the next three are more winnable so the poor ressies turned up on the weekend.
I'm not sure if it is a smart way to do things, especially with Hampton knocking over OT and Blacks are certainly not easy beats, in fact I would think they go in favorites this week at Camberwell.

I dont see a problem with it, it doesnt guarantee success and they(OH) wont win enough to play finals. Every team can recruit ex AFL blokes, but young VAFA guys are heaps better in the long run, look at St Bedes and De La, as well as St Bernards and SKOB in B Section.
Its also an Ammo comp, so you cant put restrictions on who, where and when.

over halfway through and i still think OM's are the team too beat with bernards/skob clearly 2nd....OT/Blacks and OH (depending on ins and outs) the next rung on the ladder. Relegation will be fierce with Hampton/Oc/Ocamb/Ormond pretty even. I think Ormond will be safe after some crucial early wins that will be invaluable come August.

This round shaping up to be a belter with
1 (bernards) v 4 (Ot's) at trinity
and
2 (OM's) v 3rd (skob's) at the junction

Agree with CG re: OCamb. The scoreline could've been a lot worst with 27.26 (and a lot of those 26 behinds easy shots in front on the run missed in the 2nd and 4th qtr).

Tipping comp is wide open, anybody's game. Who will reign supreme after round eighteen?

No, we tanked for a priority draft pick. We knew Hall was quitting the Swans and we figured that if we got him a gig at Jerry Murphy's gym at Surrey Hills we'd save the school some scholarship money and maybe have a chance of stopping him from joining all the other ex saints at you know where ;)
We have that many injuries , we are struggling to fill the reserves, clubbie and u/18s. In fact Epworth are considering naming a ward in honour of our club

Does that include a spate of AFL-related hamstring injuries? :p

id say St.K by around 3 goals.. top game tho!

Great round, top 4 playing each other, plenty of positions up for grabs.. every single game this round is an '8 point game'

O.Carey vs Hampton
Ormond vs O.Hailebury - 20 points
O.Camberwell vs Blacks - 25 points
O.M vs St.Kevins - 16 points
O.T vs St.Bernards - 6 points

tips this week?
OM's v SKOBs
biggest game of the year I reckon

im going OM's due to home ground advantage, in a close one.
15 points.

thoughts?

Yeah, agree with you on both counts ML.

It will be a very competitive game and will be won not through contested marks as I think both sides will be aiming at, but who will move the ball quicker and more accurately into their forward lines ... will Giansiracusa play??.

If Wissell, Simpson and Charles can get back into the groove this will help SKOB, however whilst OM have some big named, big bodied boys I reckon it will come down to the likes of Paule & Lappin to step up and if Harvey plays this will also be a big inclusion.

Going with OM marginally due to home ground and SKOB struggling up to 3/4 last week which could has been overshadowed by their 10 goal / zip final quarter.

Should be a good game and look forward to getting back to the Junction on Saturday for a geeza

Carl, SKOB did not struggle up until three quarter time, Blacks were very, very good. Don't forget that the round before Blacks smashed OM's by 9 goals.

Well if SKOB can replicate what they did in the last qtr against Blacks then they will be ok.

Hey, is that Peter Ryan you mentioned, is that the same guy that played at Sandy?

Old Carey vs Hampton
Ormond vs Old Haileybury
Old Camberwell vs Uni Blacks
Old Melb vs St Kevins
Old Trinity vs St Bernards
