It seems the newly promoted Ormond & HR aren't clubs befitting of Amateur status. The man responsible for adjudicating the cricket game I was playing on the weekend swears by the fact he was involved in a conversation whereby Mr.Sholly said the VAFA should be an Old Boys competition and the district clubs should be in the suburban leagues. Interesting opinion for the CEO of the league to have.

i too would hope that he never said such a thing. Would lose the support of most ammo people if he actually held these opinions.

. . . and the man responsible for adjudicating the cricket game I was playing on the weekend swears that man responsible for adjudicating the cricket game you were playing on the weekend was inebriated, dozing and dreaming. The VAFA is dominated already by old boy clubs - and now by a combined old boy/district outfit. Sholly knows better than anyone that the growth of the comp will come from district clubs, both new and those that seek refuge from the paying and bashing comps.

If you take a look at their results you would understand they weren't being smashed by A Section clubs. We're talking B Section here and my post was in reponse to a post about double drops for Trinity to C Section.

How do you reckon most B Section clubs would go against the likes of Collegians, Scotch and SBMT the like? I'm sure not as well as Trinity.

You would hope a lot better.

Watched Collegians beat Trinity R1 about 13 goals and then St.Bedes smashed them by over 100 points.

Scotch won comfortably by 5+ goals both times.

Any truth in the goss that Cultera is off to his old school team and Rambo is likely to go with him?

Who do you think will play off for the 2009 B Section premiership? I'm tipping it'll be St Bernards v St Kevins.

No and no.

Frankly, why would the player most responsible for the club remaining in A section for 9 years leave after they fall back to B for 2009? He's got one more job to do before hanging them up.

Ridiculous.

Sorry to rain on your parade Scribe - but cultera and Rambo are off to Aquinas.

In other B Section news - Old Carey are interviewing and ex Eastern Football Leaque Coach

You staying at the Reds Frase or moving up in the world?

Who do you think will play off for the 2011 B section premiership? I am tipping St Bernards V St Kevins

Hey guru can you just confirm that the above is actually going ahead so that I can let cults and rambo know, i just think they should be kept in the loop.

Agreed hhound. Given your current OT connections, I think this one can be (and has been) put to rest.

Next!

Oh, and as for the 2011 B section GF predictions, I'd really like to see St Leos Emmaus -v- Old Xaverians.

It can be done. ;)

Great comeback from Xavs to get straight out of C grade in 2010.

Against the odds. Quality club. Perhaps they are trying to match St Bedes 3 peat..... C,B,A

Masal.lets digest this a little. You made a prediction,a totally rediculous prediction,I then made an equally rediculous prediction.
This would be hard for you to take in no doubt. The idea of posting gives all intellect a chance to have a say on eqall footing.
Most people have the ability to do this but you obviously can not quite connect with this.
There are certain organizations that can help you. the rspca. northcote pusseys home and the american congress.

I heard Cultrera was considering returning for one last hurahh, however Rambo would be BS. Which EFL coach? would guess Freemantle of East Ringwood fame. ISnt there a family connection??
