Is that what the colour scheme is , who would have guessed ? Can you tell me Toto if the Aussie artist Ken Done who paints using a ghastly array of sickenning bright colours ever went to Skobs or was he ever commissioned to design your strip ?

Very tough to clean Handbag, although I think it was the same bloke who came up with the macho sky blue jumper trimming & bright blue shorts that you guys have.

It must be the spring carnival or the pre xmas cheer because every year at this time when you bump into anybody or read the posts from players and supporters from the two promoted c section clubs , all they can prattle on about is what they are going to do to the other B section sides and how they are going to make the finals . Reality hits home 4-5 games in after some thumpings not unlike OCam and OCar received early this season and then all of a sudden ," we are consolidating and making the finals was not on our agenda for this season ," whats it to be ? As long as they dont push every player behind the footy like my old mate the out going OCar coach Cam.

Didnt push to many behind the footy when they thumped you at home, and i think you are still in the same grade.Who exactly ae youre mates anyhow.
Rumours of big sinings at those two. N thomson and Vandenberg at OCam and Howat,Roach and Rix at OCar.

I think the younger Trewin went to SKC. He is close mates with a few players down at SKOB, the youngest Mounty & co.

Cam wouldn't play at SKOB, loves the coin & Heights too much.[/QUOTE]

Cam Trewin has left Avondale to play up the bush so wont be playing at SKOB or Avondale next year.

Add to that, Bernards have signed the following...
S Crawford- Playing Assistant Coach in the 2's.
W Carey
G Ablett Snr
F Fanning
R Barassi
&
J Kennedy as Skills coach.

I've heard Cam Trewin is doing his pre-season at St.Bernards and training at the snake pit through-out the year and then travelling up to Tatura on the weekends. Can any St.Bernards players confirm this?

Has there ever been a Brownlow medalist play in the Ammos let alone a bloke who has won 2 of them? Signed, sealed & delivered. Robert Harvey will play for Hailebury in 2009. His commitment to Carlton (apart from training) is for 8 games during the year which may not require him to attend any Saturday games leaving him free to play with Lowe & Voss. There is a rumor floating around he may not be the only former StKilda player to show up at McKinnon. Watch this space.

Groundsman ...... where did you get that information?

You must know someone at Carlton.?..you seem to know everyone at Sandy Dragons. My mail is that Harvey will not play regularly..... [possibly one or two games maximum]
Will Ian Stewart be making a comeback?

nope...its Kevin "Bulldog" Murray

Mazal, this is for your eyes only. Please don’t repeat it to anyone.
1. Yes I do know someone at Carlton, infact my contact is a former Carlton captain. 2. My pub of choice is Khyatts which is Haileburys favorite watering hole.
3. My girlfriend works at a café in Brighton known to be frequented by StKilda players.
4. I am a regular attendee on AFL draft day.
5. I bet at the Caulfield TAB. Ossies home away from home.
Anything else you want to know?

How is the world going to counter the global economic crisis?
Will Barrack Obama withdraw troops from Iraq?
Should someone draft Ben Cousins?
How many spanners are in a sid-chrome tool kit?

Tool. No pun

Would be great to see Banger play in the VAFA, will he be playing with Brett Voss, the same guy whom applied for the Old Mentonians coaching job and was knocked back? I'm also sceptical as to your to allegiance as you dont know how to spell HAILEYBURY.

Bendigo Football League

Sandhurst Dragons recruiting for 2009.

Excellent facilities, home ground is the QEO - AFL approved surface, team of trainers and sports therapists, only club in the BFL with our own club doctor, some excellent recruits so far with more to announce. Young team with a great social club.

Looking for key position players, but happy to listen to players with other areas of speciality. If you're interested, leave me a message.

Maybe they were waiting for Michael to apply before Lethal announced his retirement.:D

You'd think after having that muppet McGee as coach, Vossy would've been snapped up? Strange goings on.

Now, Im not being a smart arse but Im not sure that OM's could come up with a package commensurate to what he is allegedly getting where he played in 2008, so they had to say thanks but no thanks.
Hayes will be a great coach at Mentonians.

Brian, I could have kicked myself when I activated the "Submit Reply" button knowing I had not checked my spelling, but I knew I could count on you to correct me. By the way, the correct terminology is "who applied" not "whom applied" in this instance.
For the record, I have never stated I have any allegiance to Haileybury.

Groundsman Who cares?

Good authority that Harvey WILL run around for Haileybury. 8 matches.

Why not, even little Connor needs a good (debatable) education.

Although with Voss trying to get across to Mentone Gr, it may not be a wise choice.

The day OH committee concentrate on their young guns and give them the confidence that they will be the players that will get them back into A Grade, the better.

Obviously did not learn anything from the mid-season turmoil that occurred this year.

Stop trying to destroy the reputations of both parties and get on with developing the club, not the ego's of a few 'outriders' of the club...and I'm not talking Harvey's.

Good post old son, its unbelievable what they are doing at the Bloods, perhaps super rules would be a better comp for them?
It would be good for the Ammos PR wise though, although I never dreamed I would hate Banger....

What other grassroots league would have not one, but two Brownlow Medallists playing in the same comp? It shows how highly regarded the VAFA is. Crawford & Harvey could've gone to a comp like the SFL or the EFL, but I think they made a wise choice in going to the VAFA.

I am wondering if your clubs do stats and what your coaches look for? I have a keen interest in stats and am just curious what your club does in the way of stats? Does it play much of an importance at your club?
